Dynamic Behavior of Lambda-Type Three-Level Atoms and Two-Mode Cavity Field

Huang Ting, Xiu‐Min Lin, Zhuo‐Liang Cao +1 more

A system comprising of Lambda-type three-level atoms and the two-mode cavity field is considered in this paper. Under the adiabatical approximation and the large detuning condition, the effective Hamiltonian of the system in the interaction picture can be given out. If the two identical three-level atoms pass through the cavity in turn, the entangled state atoms can be generated. When the interaction time is taken to an appropriate value, the maximally entangled states are created. At the same time, the dynamic behaviors of the system are studied in detail.

Ultrasharp lines without the rotating wave approximation

Qing Yang Xu, Xiangming Hu, Jian-wu Yin

We study the effects of the non-rotating wave approximation (non-RWA) on the spontaneous emission of a Λ-type three-level atom, where the metastable states are coupled to a common excited state by a weak laser field and the lower-level doublet is driven by a strong microwave field. When the non-RWA is applied to the interaction of the atom with the microwave field, the spontaneous emission spectrum is comprised of a series of ultrasharp lines. The physical interpretation of the spectral characteristics is given in light of the dressed states.

Quantum Properties of the Field in the System of Λ-type Three-level Atom Interacting with Two-mode Coherent Light Field

卢道明 LU Dao-ming

Considering two Λ-type three-level atoms initially in the entangled state, one atom is poured into the cavity and interacts with a two-mode cavity. The squeezing and antibunching effects of the field are investigated. The influences of the selective atomic measurement and the intensity of the coherent field, which interacts with atom on squeezing and antibunching effect of the field, are discussed. The results obtained by numerical calculations show that squeezing and antibunching effect of the field can be strengthened through selective atomic measurement for atom outside of the cavity.
