A literature review of related articles, either by affinity or by contrast, to a fundamental theory of time and space - time previously developed. It shows how from a primitive concept of preparticle and membership relation of set theory, and four postulates that refer to simple concepts, derived concepts of time, space-time, reference frame, particle, fields, and interaction between fields are obtained. The problem of the "direction " of time is analyzed and a paradox whose solution goes against the idea that this direction is fixed by the increase of entropy prescribed by the second law of thermodynamics is examined. In our theory this direction is unique to each reference frame, and is an intrinsic property of time. Two kinds of particles are described as derived concepts, and it is shown that one of them fullfills the Bose-Einstein statistics, and the other one fullfills the Fermi-Dirac statistics. We also consider the analysis of the wave function concepts and particle detector as concepts derived from the mentioned theory. Using these concepts, the process of locating both a macroscopic body (typical location) as well as one of a microscopic scale (quantum localization) is analyzed, and the significance of the location is examined in both cases.
Quantum theory is extremely successful in describing the micro cosmos. The caveat is that nobody knows what quantum objects really are. Consequently, the intention of this article is not to introduce any new formalism but to develop some ideas about the ontological meaning of quantum theory. The centerpiece of quantum theory, the Schrödinger equation, requires a deterministic development of quantum systems; measurements however show an indeterministic distribution of measurement values. All previous interpretations of quantum theory are dubious. Here we will present a new understanding of one of the key features of quantum theory, namely, of superposition. Contrary to the previous understanding of the concept, we assume that superposition represents an oscillation between different states. This will lead to a completely new understanding of the universe and of quantum objects. Quantum objects are no longer considered to be elements in space, rather they are considered to be properties of space, namely, possibilities for interaction. The new understanding also leads to the conclusion that space and time are discrete. This entirely new concept will finally provide some relief for Schrödinger's cat.
In this article we show that quantum physics is a straightforward and comprehensive consequence of the model of discrete space-time that we have put forward in [1] 08D0C9EA79F9BACE118C8200AA004BA90B02000000080000000E0000005F005200650066003300390036003800390032003800330035000000 . We first introduce the concept of coherent domains and give a proof of the various postulates and principles that form the basis of one-particle quantum systems. Then we consider how spin-statistic theorem and the formalism of second quantization, that are prerequisites for a description of many-particles systems, emerge from the model. Finally the same framework suggests the idea of rigid histories which allows an interpretation of quantum entanglement to be proposed.
Abstract Fundamental concepts about the structure of matter have been analyzed based on cause-and-effect relations leading to the postulates of quantum mechanics. The interpretation of the characteristics of a vacuum as properties of a universal carrier medium in terms of fluid mechanics has made it possible to select consistent models of the basic objects of condensed matter. The development of concepts of the structure of the photon and electron has been supplemented by descriptions of the processes of their production and transformation. The nature of electric charges and the picture of their interaction through volumetric interference fields have been discussed. The details of the structure of the atom, the sizes of electron orbits, and the internal characteristics of some elementary particles have been clarified. The physical nature of the quantization of matter at different dimensional and energy levels has been determined. The proposed solutions to problems of a quantum can be useful for the range of physicists dealing with problems that are fundamentally unsolvable in traditional terms.
Abstract Quantum Theory, similar to Relativity Theory, requires a new concept of space-time, imposed by a universal constant. While velocity of lightcnot being infinite calls for a redefinition of space-time on large and cosmological scales, quantization of action in terms of a finite, i.e. non vanishing, universal constanthrequires a redefinition of space-time on very small scales. Most importantly, the classical notion of “time”, as one common continuous time variable and nature evolving continuously “in time”, has to be replaced by an infinite manifold of transition rates for discontinuous quantum transitions. The fundamental laws of quantum physics, commutation relations and quantum equations of motion, resulted from Max Born’s recognition of the basic principle of quantum physics:To each change in nature corresponds an integer number of quanta of action. Action variables may only change by integer values ofh, requiring all other physical quantities to change by discrete steps, “quantum jumps”. The mathematical implementation of this principle led to commutation relations and quantum equations of motion. The notion of “point” in space-time looses its physical significance; quantum uncertainties of time, position, just as any other physical quantity, are necessary consequences of quantization of action.
Generally, quantum states are abstract states that carry probabilistic information of position and momentum of any dynamical physical quantity in quantum system. E.P.Wigner (1932) had introduced a function that can determine the combination of position and momentum simultaneously, and it was the starting point to define a phase space probability distribution for a quantum mechanical system using density matrix formalism. This function named as Wigner Function. Recently, Wootters (1987) has developed a discrete phase space analogous to Wigner’s ideas. The space is based on Galois field or finite field. The geometry of the space is represented by N ´ N point, where N denoted the number of elements in the field and it must be a prime or a power of a prime numbers. In this work, we study the simplest way to compute the binary operations in finite field in order to form such a discrete space. We developed a program using Mathematica software to solve the binary operation in the finite field for the case of 3-qubit and 2-qutrit systems. The program developed should also be extendible for the higher number of qubit and qutrit. Each state is defined by a line aq + bp = c and parallel lines give equivalent states. The results show that, there are 9 set of parallel lines for the 3-qubit system and 10 sets of parallel lines for 2-qutrit system. These complete set of parallel lines called a ‘striation’.
