Accurate determination of the superfluid-insulator transition in the one-dimensional Bose-Hubbard model

Jakub Zakrzewski, Dominique Delande, Marko Robnik +1 more

The quantum phase transition point between the insulator and the superfluid phase at unit filling factor of the infinite one‐dimensional Bose‐Hubbard model is numerically computed with a high accuracy. The method uses the infinite system version of the time evolving block decimation algorithm, here tested in a challenging case. We provide also the accurate estimate of the phase transition point at double occupancy.

One-dimensional lattice gas models with infinitely many absorbing states

Carlos E. Fiore, Mário J. de Oliveira

We determined, by numerical simulations, the critical behavior one-dimensional systems with infinitely many absorbing states. These models are modified versions of the conserved lattice gas model in which two adjacent active particles instead of just one can jump to their neighboring sites. The models studied here are examples of systems with many absorbing states and order parameter coupled to a nondiffusive conserved field that show nontrivial critical behavior.

The numerical methods and graphical displays of the particles bound in one-dimensional square potential wells

LI Da-nong

With the numerical methods and graphical displays, the energy levels and normalized wave functions are given for the particle in one-dimensional asymmetrical finite potential wells. The results are accordant with those of infinite wells when the potential tends to infinite.
