The Total Simultaneity Interpretation

Abstract

I argue that Reality is an emergent phenomenon from Total Simultaneity (TS). This emergent phenomenon is to be strictly separated from its underlying structure TS. TS is a concept that can be localised behind the Planck units of space and time and is constituted as the totality of ALL possible emergent realities structured as probabilities (hidden variables). Time is a restriction of our emerged reality, so is space. As ALL time/life-lines of ALL probable (and for us improbable) realities are interconnected inside TS, our own experience of time and space is also interconnected with them through entangled partial consciousness. The what I call Point Zero is the point inside TS from where an agent’s emergent reality experience originates. Past and Future are created there through partial Consciousness. The so called “weird” quantum effects are explained this way. The reference of reference in our emerged reality is this partial consciousness: the I”. The “Splitting up” from the Many World Interpretation is becoming “Jumping towards” another Time/Life-line inside Total Simultaneity. ALL other “worlds” are already existing as probabilities inside TS. This explains the seemingly retro-causality in our emerged reality.

A Metaphysical Concept of Consciousness

Wilhelmus de Wilde

Our five senses ask for the reference of reference, which cannot be found in our causal material reality. We all have a subjective reality that is presented as a simultaneity sphere around our consciousness. Consciousness not being a material entity with length or volume can be treated as a singularity. The cutting circles of the different spheres around the percipients form a foam (origin of decoherence) of objective mutual reality (history). Our Reductionist Causal Deterministic Universe (RCDU) is limited by the Planck Wall. Before that causality doesn’t exist, we call this “dimension” Total Simultaneity (TS). The causal time-line (β-time) consists of entangled Alpha–probabilities (α-P’s). Each “observer” is the origin of his own causal time lines. Free will makes the choice out of infinity of α-P’s in TS. Subjective individual time travel can happen without being conscious of the process (until now). We explain the double-slit experiment, the spooky action at a distance, the Many World Interpretation, Entropy, Time travel and free will. We indicate that the reductionist way of interpretation is only valid for a limited part of our reality and may not lead to the “truth” finding of the whole. The emergent way of approach may be more effective and create an understandable “being” of WHAT IS. (Parmenides, Greek Eleatic School of Philosophy, 515 BC).

Total Consciousness in Total Simultaneity

Wilhelmus de Wilde

We will call the dimension outside the causal reality “Total Simultaneity”. We argue that the essential tool to experience reality is our consciousness which is entangled with Total Consciousness in Total Simultaneity which contains all possible universes gathered as availabilities. Matter and space-time, in this perception, are an emergent illusion created by Total Consciousness in Total Simultaneity. Each theory we can think about such as the the Big Bang is only one of an infinity of availabilities in TS that could become an emergent reality. To represent the emerging causal reality only as a dualistic digital entity consisting of only “yes” or “no” is to neglect all the grey-tones in between these extremities.

The Vanishing Present

Wilson Fischmann

The Vanishing Present: What We Experience Is Always the Immediate Past This article explores a fundamental insight into the nature of reality: the present moment, as commonly understood, is unattainable. Through physical analogies—such as the instantaneous, zero-duration contact point of a rolling wheel, and neurological realities of perceptual delay, we demonstrate that conscious awareness perpetually reconstructs events that have just occurred. At the heart of this framework lies Event Density, the true foundational dimension of reality. Time is not a primary flow but an emergent sequential tool employed by consciousness to organize the otherwise chaotic stream of events into coherent, interpretable sequences, one event at a time. This ordering acts as the translator that renders raw interactions meaningful, transforming a potential conglomerate of simultaneous changes into the structured unfolding we perceive as reality. By replacing temporal variables with frequency (1/t) in classical and quantum formulas, the theory reveals how varying densities of energy interactions across space underpin motion, change, and causality. It offers fresh explanations for key quantum phenomena, including the observer effect in the double-slit experiment, superposition, and Schrödinger’s cat, where measurement influences local event densities and collapses probabilistic sequences. This perspective reframes our experience of the "now" as a useful illusion: the present is real as a vanishing boundary but has no measurable duration. It complements established physics while inviting a deeper understanding of consciousness, perception, and the event-based structure of the universe. The work unifies philosophical inquiry with physical rigor, proposing that what we call time is simply the sequential organization of events by consciousness, governed by their density.

Reality in quantum mechanics, Extended Everett Concept, and consciousness

Michael B. Mensky

Conceptual problems in quantum mechanics result from the specific quantum concept of reality and require, for their solution, including the observer’s consciousness into the quantum theory of measurements. Most naturally, this is achieved in the framework of Everett’s “many-world interpretation” of quantum mechanics. According to this interpretation, various classical alternatives are perceived by consciousness separately from each other. In the Extended Everett Concept (EEC) proposed by the present author, the separation of the alternatives is identified with the phenomenon of consciousness. This explains the classical character of the alternatives and unusual manifestations of consciousness arising “at the edge of consciousness” (i.e., in sleep or trance) when its access to “other alternative classical realities” (other Everett’s worlds) becomes feasible. Because of reversibility of quantum evolution in EEC, all time moments in the quantum world are equivalent, while the impression of flow of time appears only in consciousness. If it is assumed that consciousness may influence the probabilities of alternatives (which is consistent in case of infinitely many Everett’s worlds), EEC explains free will, “probabilistic miracles” (observing low-probability events), and decreasing entropy in the sphere of life.
