Abstract

We theoretically analyze the photon number distribution, entanglement entropy, and Wigner phase-space distribution, considering the finite-dimensional pair coherent state (FDPCS) generated in the nonlinear Bose operator realization. Our results show that the photon number distribution is governed by the two-mode photon number sum q of the FDPCS, the entanglement of the FDPCS always increases quickly at first and then decreases slowly for any q, and the nonclassicality of the FDPCS for odd q is more stronger than that for even q.

New angular momentum coherent states via the nonlinear Bose SU(2) generators and their nonclassical behaviors

Wei-Feng Wu

I theoretically construct a kind of new angular momentum coherent states by virtue of the nonlinear Bose SU(2) generators, and investigate their nonclassicality by analyzing the sub-Poissonian distributions, photon number distributions, entanglement entropy and Wigner phase-space distributions. The results show that the new states always have the sub-Poissonian distributions for all of the photon number sum [Formula: see text] of two modes, the photon number distributions are subjected to the parameter q, and the entanglement always increases quickly and then decreases slowly with increasing [Formula: see text], and the new states for odd q possess more stronger nonclassicality than for even q.

Nonclassicality of photon-modulated atomic coherent states in the Schwinger bosonic realization*

Ji‐Suo Wang, Xiang‐Guo Meng, Xiaoyan Zhang

We theoretically introduce two new photon-modulated atomic coherent states (ACSs) via using the Schwinger bosonic representation of the angular momentum operators (the sequential operations J ± n ) on an ACS, and investigate their nonclassicality using the Wigner distribution, photon number distribution, and entanglement entropy. It is found that photon-modulated ACSs possess more stronger nonclassicality than the original ACS in certain regions of τ, the nonclassicality enhances with increasing number n of the operations J ± and the operation J + ( − ) n enhances the entanglement in the region of small (large) τ.

Finite-dimensional even and odd nonlinear pair coherent states and their some nonclassical properties

Meng Xiang-Guo, Ji‐Suo Wang, Tang-Kun Liu

In this paper a new class of finite-dimensional even and odd nonlinear pair coherent states (EONLPCSs), which can be realized via operating the superposed evolution operators D±(τ) on the state |q, 0), is constructed, then their orthonormalized property, completeness relations and some nonclassical properties are discussed. It is shown that the finite-dimensional EONLPCSs possess normalization and completeness relations. Moreover, the finite-dimensional EONLPCSs exhibit remarkably different sub-Poissonian distributions and phase probability distributions for different values of parameters q,η and ζ.

Quantum engineering and nonclassical properties of SU(1,1) and SU(2) entangled nonlinear coherent states

Amir Karimi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, after a brief review on the entangled coherent state, a general form of the entangled nonlinear coherent state has been introduced based on the nonlinear coherent states approach. By choosing particular f-deformation functions, theoretical schemes for generation of two distinct classes of such states associated with SU(1,1) and SU(2) groups are presented. The entanglement characteristic of the corresponding entangled coherent states has been studied by evaluating the concurrence. In the continuation, other nonclassical behaviors of the produced states have been analyzed by investigating sub-Poissonian photon statistics, the oscillatory photon number distribution, one- and two-mode quadrature squeezing, and sum and difference squeezing. Accordingly, in addition to their entanglement property, other nonclassicality features of the introduced states are well established in detail.

Some nonclassical properties of a finite dimensional even and odd pair coherent state

Meng Xiang-Guo, Ji‐Suo Wang, 聊城大学物理系,聊城 252059

The exponential form of even and odd pair coherent state (EOPCS) is constructed. The EOPCS is generalized to a finite dimensional EOPCS in the Hilbert space, and then its orthonormalized property, completeness relations and some noncalssical properties are discussed. It is shown that the finite dimensional EOPCS has normalized and completeness relations, but not orthogonal relations. By virtue of the numerical computation method, we find that, for any value of q, in different ranges of the parameter |ξ| the 5-dimensional EOPCS for the modes 1 and 2 exhibit anti-bunching effect and the photons between the two modes are always correlated. The different peak structures of the phase probability distributions for the 7-dimensional EOPCS show remarkably different quantum interference properties.
