Abstract

In our approach we have combined knowledge of Old Masters (working in this field before the year 1905), New Masters (working in this field after the year 1905) and Dissidents under the guidance of Louis de Broglie and David Bohm. In our model the photon is represented as the Huygens-de Broglie’s particle on the helical path (full wave) guided by the Newton-Bohm entangled evolute (empty wave). We have formulated the concept of the Super-Elastic Photon WAVE based on the Great Works of Weber, Abbe, Voigt and Einstein. This model works with the longitudinal elasticity of that WAVE that was already very well tested experimentally. Newly, we propose to test the elastic amplitude of this WAVE for the case of the Doppler’s redshift, the Doppler’s blueshift, and the Zwicky’s redshift. We have newly used the concept of the Lorentz’ force for the description of the photon acting force and the fermion reacting force. In this model the Lorentz’ factors γ and γ3 do not describe the “transverse mass of fermions” and longitudinal mass of fermions” but the “reacting transverse force of fermions” and the “reacting longitudinal force of fermions”. (The mass of photons and fermions does not change with their speed). It is very well-known that the cylindrical helix observed from different angles forms shadows in the Plato’s Cave as circle, sine, cosine, trochoid, cochleoid, hyperbolic spiral. Therefore, the resulting shape depends on the observer position in the Plato’s Cave-this is the famous Rashomon effect between observers. Based on the Newton-Bohm helical evolute and the Huygens-de Broglie helical path of the particle we have derived interesting formula known as the quantum of the magnetic flux. When we work further with this concept based on the Mathematical Beauty developed by Dirac, Gell-Mann, Schwinger, Polchinski, Witten and many others, we will obtain possible properties of the magnetic monopole. This photon quantum of the magnetic flux can be experimentally evaluated in the known tests with superconductors and micro-WAVES and infrared-WAVES. Can it be that Nature cleverly works with the magnetic monopole hidden in plain sight? We want to pass this concept into the hands of Readers of this Journal better educated in the Mathematics and Physics.

In our model the quantum particle is represented as the Huygens-de Broglie’s particle on the helical path (full wave) guided by the Newton-Bohm entangled helical evolute (Bohmian Pilot Wave). These individual Huygens - de Broglie particles in the Young - Feynman double - slit experiment react with Wilhelm Wien’s photons that are always present inside of the apparatus (Wien’s displacement law). Wilhelm Wien’s photons form collectively the Wien filter guiding the Huygens - de Broglie particles through the double - slit barrier towards a detector (BohEmian Pilot Wave). The interplay of those events creates the observed interference pattern. In the very well-known formula describing the intensity of double-slit diffraction patterns we have newly introduced the concept curvature κ of the Huygens - de Broglie particle and thus giving a physical interpretation for the Newton - Bohm guiding wave (the Bohmian Pilot Wave): for photons κ = π/λ, for electrons κ = 2π/λ. Moreover, we have introduced into that formula the expression λmax from the Wien’s displacement law to describe geometry of the double - slit barrier. We propose to modify the value λmax by the change of the system temperature. There is a second experimental possibility - we can insert into those slits filters to remove Wien’s photons while the Huygens - de Broglie particles continue towards a detector - we should observe the particle behavior. The similar situation might occur in the Mach - Zehnder interferometer. In this case the individual Huygens - de Broglie particle reacts in the first beam splitter with the Wien photon: the Huygens - de Broglie particle goes through one path while the Wien photon goes through the second path. In the second beam splitter they interact again and create the interference pattern on one detector. We can experimentally modify the resulting interference pattern in the Mach - Zehnder interferometer - by the temperature change of the system or by inserting filters to remove Wien’s photons from one or both paths. Can it be that Nature cleverly creates those interference patterns while the Bohmian pilot wave and the BohEmian pilot wave are hidden in plain sight? We want to pass this concept into the hands of Readers of this Journal better educated in the Mathematics and Physics.

Zitterbewegung and the Electron

Arend Niehaus

Starting from a probabilistic model of the electron, which explains spin and spin measurements in terms of a probability density distribution resulting from a rapidly changing angular momentum during an extended Zitterbewegung EZBW, a “light-like” model of the electron and other spin-1/2 particles is formulated. This model describes individual particles in terms of paths of a moving quantum. It is shown that this description allows one to reproduce observable properties as path-averages over a period of the fast EZBW in elementary calculations. The general topology of the paths may be described as a helical path, with a helix axis forming a circle around a fixed point in space. The radius of the helix and of the circle is equal and given by half the reduced Compton wave length of a photon of energy equal to the rest energy of the particle described. The paths depend on the relative velocity between the described “entity” and the observer, and represent the De Broglie wave. The merits of the proposed model are summarized and its role in relation to the established description by quantum mechanics is discussed. It is concluded that it supports the existence of the proposed EZBW, and offers a description of quantum behavior without quantum mechanics.

Double Helix Wave-Particle Structures of Photon and Charged Elementary Particles. The Equation of Motion of the Particle with Both Intrinsic Spin and Double Helix Structure has the Same form as the Schrodinger Equation

Sennian Chen

Photon and charged elementary particles have many commonalities like constant spin, duality, etc. The purpose of this paper is trying to find out why such particles have the commonalities and how to make the commonalities. The first part of this paper is to derive and prove that the photon is consisted of an energy packet and a closely connected circular polarized EM wave with much smaller energy. The energy packet is a thin piece of circular polarized EH field wrapped by a cylindrical side membrane with helical distributed . Double helix structure of field EH in the energy packet plus intrinsic speed c being proved makes almost all the basic properties of photon in the paper. The wave-particle properties in the structure of photon plays a roll together in the process of emission, absorption and interference. Such structure makes the photon to act as both a wave and a particle at the same time, not “exhibit different characters for different phenomenon”. It makes the dispute in the double slit experiment unnecessary. Charged elementary particles produced from a photon in the pair production will be proved in the paper it is split equally point to point from the photon. So the particles possess double helix structure of mass density and charge (or ). The helically distributed charge (or ) carries a circular polarized external E-field to move with the same velocity (a wave really). Of the charged elementary particle and of this E-wave will be proved to satisfy the de Broglie Relation here. It naturally leads to the differential equation of motion of such particles mathematically as same as the Schrodinger equation. Such differential equation of motion for the non-relativistic particles will be proved it is for the circular polarized structure and wave. Difference between helical (or ) and helical makes the charged elementary particles and photon distinguishable or undistinguishable by the magnetic B effect and to obey different statistics, F-D statistics or B-E statistics; and obey the Pauli Exclusion Principle or not. Since the spin direction of the photon and charged elementary particles are decided by the direction of helical structure, anyone of these particles can only possess a definite direction of spin, so the entanglement is like a pair of gloves disregard of how far the distance between them. Because a particle cannot locate at two positions or possess two different magnitudes of energy at the same time, (otherwise, the particle will split or move with different speed simultaneously), the particle itself can take only one basis state (e.g. at a point in the interference pattern or in an eigen state of the atom or molecule) any time. Therefore, the idea like wave function collapse, electron cloud and both alive and dead Schrodinger cat are no longer necessary. At last, it is a proof that there is a particular relativistic property of the charged elementary particles in the equal energy process. It will affect the physical and chemical process in the atom and molecule.

Revisiting de Broglie’s famous paper of 1924

Edward A. Davis

Louis-Victor de Broglie secured his place in the history of quantum physics by proposing the existence of matter waves. Following the concept accepted early in the twentieth century that light waves could display properties characteristic of particles (photons), de Broglie suggested the complementary principle that particles could display properties characteristic of waves. Within a few years, this far-reaching proposal was experimentally verified. The well-known formula for the wavelength λ of the wave associated with a particle of momentum p, namely λ=h/p, does not appear in de Broglie’s original paper, which was published in this journal in 1924. What is derived from the starting assumption that the frequency of the wave is the rest energy of the particle divided by Planck’s constant h, is the wave's velocity, which turns out to be c2/v, where v is the particle’s velocity. This velocity, being superluminal, means that the wave cannot transport energy. De Broglie called it a phase wave and postulated a group of such waves having virtually, but not exactly, the same velocity and wavelength. The group velocity of such a large number of almost identical phase waves is then shown, very satisfactorily, to be equal to the velocity of the particle. The proposal by de Broglie inspired Schrödinger to develop the mathematical foundations of wave mechanics. Whereas in conventional quantum theory, phase waves are considered fictional, de Broglie considered them to have a certain physical reality, renaming them pilot or guiding waves – a concept developed later by Bohm in 1952.

Topological Slicing and the Kinematic Emergence of the de Broglie Relation: A Helical Representation Study

Ping Zhang

This work revisits the kinematic foundations of wave–particle duality by re-examining the logic originally proposed by Louis de Broglie within the framework of Special Relativity developed by Albert Einstein. Starting from the assumption that a massive particle possesses an intrinsic periodic degree of freedom associated with its rest energy, the study explores how Lorentz covariance acts on such periodicity. By representing the internal phase on a transverse cylindrical manifold, it is shown that the relativity of simultaneity naturally converts temporal periodicity into a spatial helical phase structure when observed from a moving frame. Within this geometric representation, the longitudinal phase gradient is fixed by relativistic kinematics, leading directly to the relation kz=p/ℏkz=p/ℏ which reproduces the well-known de Broglie relation. In this framework, particle momentum appears as the torsional density of the helical phase field, while the transverse radius forms a Lorentz-invariant geometric seat for the intrinsic structure. The analysis further shows that this transverse scale naturally aligns with the characteristic length Rc=ℏ/mcRc=ℏ/mc previously identified as a structural scale in the author's earlier work on helical phase-field models. The resulting picture suggests a geometric convergence in which the de Broglie wavelength and the characteristic particle radius emerge as the longitudinal and transverse signatures of a single relativistic phase structure. This work is purely kinematic and does not attempt to resolve the detailed dynamical origin of the internal energy partition. The dynamical mechanism responsible for the transverse stabilization and the associated energy coefficients will be addressed in subsequent studies.

Helical Geometry: Unifying Relativity, Quantum Phenomena, and the Structure of Matter

Sukumar P

This paper summarizes the current state of the helical worldline model developed across eleven previous publications. The model posits that all particles follow helical paths through spacetime with invariant speed v_path = √[v² + (c/γ)²] = c, where v is spatial velocity and c/γ represents motion through time. This single principle unifies special relativity, de Broglie matter waves (λ = h/p as spatial projection of the tilted helix), the Compton effect (λ_f - λ_i = (h/m₀c)(1-cos θ) from helical phase matching), and the photoelectric effect (work function φ derived from helical compression by crystal lattices). Spin ħ/2 emerges from the 4π symmetry of the helix, and Bohr quantization follows from helical standing wave conditions in atoms. The model makes testable predictions including tunneling time ≈ ħ/(2m₀c²) and work function scaling φ ∝ 1/L² with crystal structure. The author presents the current mathematical framework, summarizes confirmed connections to established physics, identifies open questions, and outlines further study needed to extend the model toward a full unification.
