Abstract

Abstract We present a scheme to implement a 1 → 3 orbital state quantum cloning machine assisted by quantum Zeno dynamics. By constructing shortcuts to adiabatic passage with transitionless quantum driving, we can complete this scheme effectively and quickly in one step. The effects of decoherence, including spontaneous emission and the decay of the cavity, are also discussed. The numerical simulation results show that high fidelity can be obtained and the feasibility analysis indicates that this can also be realized in experiments.

One-step implementation of the 1→3 orbital state quantum cloning machine via quantum Zeno dynamics

Xiao‐Qiang Shao, Hong‐Fu Wang, Li Chen +3 more

We present an approach for implementation of a $1\ensuremath{\rightarrow}3$ orbital state quantum cloning machine based on the quantum Zeno dynamics via manipulating three rf superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) qubits to resonantly interact with a superconducting cavity assisted by classical fields. Through appropriate modulation of the coupling constants between rf SQUIDs and classical fields, the quantum cloning machine can be realized within one step. We also discuss the effects of decoherence such as spontaneous emission and the loss of cavity in virtue of master equation. The numerical simulation result reveals that the quantum cloning machine is especially robust against the cavity decay, since all qubits evolve in the decoherence-free subspace with respect to cavity decay due to the quantum Zeno dynamics.

Zhen Chen, Ye‐Hong Chen, Yan Xia +2 more

Motivated by "transitionless quantum driving", we construct shortcuts to adiabatic passage in a three-atom system to create a singlet state with the help of quantum zeno dynamics and non-resonant lasers. The influence of various decoherence processes is discussed by numerical simulation and the results reveal that the scheme is fast and robust against decoherence and operational imperfection. We also investigate how to select the experimental parameters to control the cavity dissipation and atomic spontaneous emission which will have an application value in experiment.

Fast and Robust Quantum State Transfer via Optimal Transitionless Quantum Driving

Chun‐Ling Zhang, Xiu‐Min Lin

Abstract For the past few years, shortcuts to adiabaticity have attracted great attention since they can avoid the necessity of slow driving for adiabatic method while inheriting the partial robustness of the adiabatic dynamics. In this paper, a universal approach to implement quantum state transfer in a three‐state system via optimal transitionless quantum driving is presented. The fast path is optimized for great robustness against uncontrolled systematic error by selecting appropriate experimental parameters. The robustness of the protocol is discussed via numerical simulations. Compared with conventional transitionless quantum driving and adiabatic passage, the protocol via optimized transitionless quantum driving possesses more robustness against the systematic error. Furthermore, decoherence arising from atomic spontaneous emission and dephasing only has a slight impact on the fidelity of quantum state transfer. This work opens up a new avenue for high‐fidelity quantum state transfer in the case of the uncontrolled errors.

Fast preparation of a three-dimensional entangled state via transitionless quantum driving

Zhaotan Zhang, J. Wang, J. P. Wang +3 more

A scheme for preparing a three-dimensional entangled state of two atoms is proposed. In the present scheme, two atoms are placed in two cavities that are spatially separated and connected by a fiber. With the help of quantum Zeno dynamics, the shortcuts to adiabaticity can be constructed through transitionless quantum driving to fast achieve the preparation of a three-dimensional entangled state. During this process, we consider the influence of fluctuations about system parameters and various decoherence factors on the fidelity. Numerical simulation results demonstrate that this scheme can not only realize the preparation of a three-dimensional entangled state with a high fidelity, but is also insensitive to parameter fluctuations. Moreover, our scheme can be extended to realize the N-dimensional entanglement of two atoms.

Efficient shortcuts to adiabatic passage for three-dimensional entanglement generation via transitionless quantum driving

Shuang He, Shi‐Lei Su, Dongyang Wang +5 more

We propose an effective scheme of shortcuts to adiabaticity for generating a three-dimensional entanglement of two atoms trapped in a cavity using the transitionless quantum driving (TQD) approach. The key point of this approach is to construct an effective Hamiltonian that drives the dynamics of a system along instantaneous eigenstates of a reference Hamiltonian to reproduce the same final state as that of an adiabatic process within a much shorter time. In this paper, the shortcuts to adiabatic passage are constructed by introducing two auxiliary excited levels in each atom and applying extra cavity modes and classical fields to drive the relevant transitions. Thereby, the three-dimensional entanglement is obtained with a faster rate than that in the adiabatic passage. Moreover, the influences of atomic spontaneous emission and photon loss on the fidelity are discussed by numerical simulation. The results show that the speed of entanglement implementation is greatly improved by the use of adiabatic shortcuts and that this entanglement implementation is robust against decoherence. This will be beneficial to the preparation of high-dimensional entanglement in experiment and provides the necessary conditions for the application of high-dimensional entangled states in quantum information processing.
