Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the squeezing and statistical properties of superposed output coherent and squeezed laser light beams. In order to carry out the analysis, we have obtained the superposition density operator along with the Q functions, we have calculated the mean photon number, the photon number variance and the quadrature variances for the superposed output light beams. It has been found that the mean photon number and quadrature variances of the superposed output light beams are the sum of the mean photon number and quadrature variances of the separate light beams, respectively. In addition, the mean photon number and quadrature squeezing of the superposed output light beams increase with linear gain coefficient. The Quantum Properties of a Superposition of Vee Type Three-level Lasers

Takele Teshome

The squeezing, and statistical properties of a superposed light beam produced by a lambda type three-level lasers configuration have been studied. We have determined the quadrature variances mean as well as variance photon number for cavity modes with the aid of the solutions of c-number Langevin equations associated with the normal order. We have carried out our analysis a light in a squeezing state can be produced by the system under consideration under the condition that the cavity decay constant is larger than the linear gain coefficient and the squeezing occurs in the minus-quadrature. Furthermore, we also obtain with the aid of the Q-functions and the density operator the superposition beam, and superposed light beams are determined in quadrature variance and mean photon number. The result shows that the mean photon number and the quadrature variance of the superposed light beam are the sum of the mean photon number and the quadrature variance of the constituent light beams.

Statistical and Squeezing Proprieties of Superposed Single-Mode Squeezed Chaotic State

Alemayehu Getahun Kumela

In this paper we have studied the statistical and squeezing proprieties of light produced by superposition of a pair of single-mode squeezed chaotic light beams. Applying density operator of single-mode squeezed chaotic state; we obtain the anti-normal order characteristics function which enables us to find the Q function. With the resulting Q function, we calculate the photon statistics and the Quadrature squeezing for single-mode squeezed chaotic light. Moreover applying Q function of single-mode squeezed chaotic state the superposed light beams would be driven. With the resulting Q function we calculated the photon statics and the quadrature squeezing for superposed light beams. To get the maximum squeezing to be 95%, for nth = 0 and r = 1.5. Superposed Coherent and Squeezed Light

Fesseha Kassahun

We first calculate the mean photon number and quadrature variance of superposed coherent and squeezed light, following a procedure of analysis based on combining the Hamiltonians and using the usual definition for the quadrature variance of superposed light beams. This procedure of analysis leads to physically unjustifiable mean photon number of the coherent light and quadrature variance of the superposed light. We then determine both of these properties employing a procedure of analysis based on superposing the Q functions and applying a slightly modified definition for the quadrature variance of a pair of superposed light beams. We find the expected mean photon number of the coherent light and the quadrature variance of the superposed light. Moreover, the quadrature squeezing of the superposed output light turns out to be equal to that of the superposed cavity light.

CV Entanglement Analysis in the Superposition of Subharmonic and Second Harmonic Generation of Light with Injected Squeezed Laser Beams

Solomon Getahun

In this article, we have analyzed the squeezing and statistical properties of the light generated by the superposition of second harmonic light and degenerate three level squeezed laser beams. We have found that the mean photon number of the superposed light beams to be the sum of the mean photon number of that of the constituent light beams. However, the photon number variance of the superposed light beams does not happen to be the sum of the photon number variances of the separate light beams. On the other hand, the quadrature variance of the superposed light beams is the sum of the individual light beams. Furthermore, we have observed that the degree of squeezing for the superposed light beams is the average of the segregate light beams and the degree of squeezing is approximately 53.95% below the coherent state level. Even though, we have verified that the superposition of subharmonic and second harmonic light with injected degenerate three-level laser beams he haves squeezing, we do not show continuous variable entanglement. But, the absence of the laser beam in the superposition state give rise entangled photons.

The Effect of Superposition on the Quantum Features of the Cavity Radiation of a Three-Level Laser

Desalegn Ayehu, A. Chane

We study the statistical and squeezing properties of the cavity light produced by a degenerate three-level laser with the use of the solution of the pertinent quantum Langevin equation. Moreover, applying the density operator to the cavity radiation superposition, we investigated the quantum properties of the superposed cavity light beams generated by a pair of degenerate three-level lasers. Superposing the cavity radiation increases the mean and the variance of the photon number without affecting the quadrature squeezing. It is observed that the degree of squeezing of the separate cavity radiation, as well as the superposed cavity radiation, increases with the rate at which the atoms are injected into the cavity. We have also shown that the mean photon number of the superposed cavity radiation is the sum of the mean photon numbers of the individual cavity radiation. However, the variance of the photon number of the superposed cavity radiation turns out to be four times that of the component cavity radiation.
