Unfolding multi-particle quantum correlations hidden in decoherence

Ke-Ji Chen, Ho Kwan Lau, Hon Ming Chan +2 more

Quantum coherence is a fundamental characteristic to distinguish quantum systems from their classical counterparts. Though quantum coherence persists in isolated non-interacting systems, interactions inevitably lead to decoherence, which is in general believed to cause the lost of quantum correlations. Here, we show that, accompanying to the single-particle decoherence, interactions build up quantum correlations on the two-, three-, and multi-particle levels. Using the quantitative solutions of the quantum dynamics of a condensate occupying two modes, such as two bands of an optical lattice, we find out that such dynamically emergent multi-particle correlations not only reveal how interactions control the quantum coherence of a many-body system in a highly intriguing means, but also evince the rise of exotic fragmented condensates, which are difficult to access at the ground state. We further develop a generic interferometry that can be used in experiments to measure high order correlation functions directly.

Dynamic Multi-Particle Quantum Correlation Computation

Jincheng Zhang

This paper introduces a novel dynamic multi-particle quantum correlation computation framework designed to efficiently simulate and analyze complex quantum systems and enable dynamic quantum entanglement calculations. The core of this work lies in the development of a quantum association computation algorithm that leverages the dynamic properties of quantum entanglement, enabling automated evolution of quantum system states and efficient calculation of entanglement dynamics. Traditional quantum computing methods are limited in their ability to accurately model complex quantum systems. This approach offers a significant advancement in computational power by providing a framework for simulating and analyzing intricate quantum systems.

Quantum Computation: Multi-particle Correlation Entropy

Jincheng Zhang

This paper investigates the potential of multi-particle correlation entropy (MPCE) in quantum computation, addressing the limitations of traditional approaches that primarily focus on single-qubit entropy. The core argument is that leveraging correlations among multiple qubits can significantly enhance quantum algorithm design and efficiency. We define MPCE and propose a methodology for utilizing it as an optimization target within quantum algorithm design. This involves developing algorithms that explicitly consider and maximize the MPCE, leading to novel approaches for quantum information encoding and computation. The theoretical framework presented here expands the scope of quantum computing theory and offers a new perspective for the creation of more sophisticated quantum algorithms. The approach outlined herein aims to unlock the full potential of quantum systems by exploiting the intricate correlations inherent in multi-particle quantum states.
