The quantum mystery began with the probabilistic interpretation of the wave function. However, this usefulness is definitive in Quantum Mechanics while the suspense continues. The present paper aims to investigate the origin of such a mystery. Hence, considering a relativistic charged particle in quantum vacuum, it appeared that: (i) from a classical association, this electromagnetismself-consistent derives from the usual wave function, which corresponds to the scalar nature in addition to the vector one. (ii) Such duplicity is only justifiable when the related gauge fields describe fermions, in accordance with the previous theory of duality field-matter. This occurrence then corresponds to the appearance of bosons at cell intersections in vacuum lattice, whatever is the field. (iii) From the related gauge couplings, the scalar function must have an unknown vector companion. Both appear as originating the related conservation laws on one side. On the other side, specific variations of the field front would explain their physical origin. (iv) Moreover, both define an original gauge field to which that of law conservation is sensible. (v) Due to definition validity in any reference system, their possible quantization should lead to that of scalar and vector fields of stationary states. At last, the results highlight the connection between waves and fields associable to any object, emphasizing the field unification framework.

A well-known mystery in quantum mechanics is wave–particle duality: Is an electron a point mass or a physical wave? What is the physical meaning of its wave function? About a hundred years ago, there was a famous debate between Bohr and Einstein on this topic. Their question is still open today. This paper reviews a new theoretical framework to address this problem. Here, it is hypothesized that both photons and electrons are quantized excitation waves of the vacuum, the physical properties of which can be modeled based on the Maxwell theory. Using the method of Helmholtz decomposition, one can show that the wave function of the particle is associated with an electric vector potential called “ Z”, which plays the role of basic field for the excitation wave. Using this framework, the quantum wave equations can be derived based on a quantization of the Maxwell theory. This work suggests that, the quantum wave function truly represents a physical wave; the wave packet looks like a “particle” only in the macroscopic view. Because the vacuum excitation obeys the principle of all-or-none, the probability of detecting this “particle” is related to the wave function as suggested in the Copenhagen interpretation.
In Quantum Mechanics, one knows that the wave function interpretation is probabilistic. We previously established that any particle scalar field is the cause of its existence. Here, one examined the plane solution regarding a moving particle in vacuum, through the relativistic formalism. It appeared the following. (i) The solution presents four alternatives, like in Dirac unified formalism; when searching stationary solutions of the system vacuum-particle or the system vacuum-antiparticle. (ii) Considering the former, each spinner component shows the interaction of one particle charge with three vacuum fermions of spin-½; each oriented along one space direction. Furthermore, this allows deducting the triple nature of any gauge fermion. (iii) Each solution case is definable with a same wave front width. This determination became possible from the vector companion of that wave function one introduced before. Here, this points out the existence of transverse time. (iv) Both functions let emphasizing the existence of a third fundamental field of long range, which is identifiable to the fundamental spin field. (v) This unites the particle spin and orbital momenta and bears in addition a magnetic-like field, which is yet unknown. (vi) According to the charge, a particle field is observable in wave phenomena, from the manifestations of its gauge fermions or gauge bosons; when ejected from their stationary states by a perturbation… At last, the results highlight the quantum composition of wave functions, the spin-field patency, and the wave nature manifestation from five differentiable fields.
The quantum theory of relativistic particles, based on the first quantization technique similar to that used by Schroedinger and Dirac in formulating quantum mechanics, is reconsidered on the basis of a photon-like dispersion relation corresponding to the energy conservation equation of Einstein's special relativity. First, scalar quantum mechanics of particles operating with their wave functions is discussed. Using the first quantization of the photon-like dispersion relation, very simple new derivation of the Dirac equation is given. Then, vector field quantum mechanics is introduced, which defines vector fields associated with the relativistic particle. Basic equations for the vector-field quantum mechanics, similar to the source-free Maxwell equations, are derived. Following these equations, the particle's de Broglie wave can be considered as the transversal electromagnetic wave. Therefore, the wave-particle duality can be redefined as the electromagnetic wave-particle duality. Relationships between the scalar and vector field quantum mechanics are analyzed.
This is the second of the two related papers analyzing the origins and possible explanations of a paradoxical phenomenon of the quantum potential (QP). It arises in quantum mechanics (QM) of a particle in a Riemannian n-dimensional configurational space obtained by various procedures of quantization of non-relativistic natural Hamilton systems. Now, two questions are investigated: 1) Does a QP appear in non-relativistic QM generated by the quantum theory of a scalar field (QFT) non-minimally coupled to the space-time metric? 2) To which extent is it in accord with quantization of natural systems? To this end, the asymptotic non-relativistic equation for particle-interpretable wave functions and operators of canonical observables are obtained from the primary QFT objects. It is shown that, in globally static space-time, the Hamilton operators coincide at the origin of the quasi-Euclidean space coordinates in both alternative approaches for any non-minimality constant ξ~ , but a certain requirement of the Equivalence Principle to the quantum field propagator distinguishes the unique value ξ~=1/6 = 1/6. Just the same value had the constant ζ in the quantum Hamiltonians arising from the traditional quantizations of natural systems: the DeWitt canonical, Pauli-DeWitt quasiclassical, geometric and Feynman ones, as well as in the revised Schrödinger variational quantization. Thus, the QP generated by mechanics is tightly related to non-minimality of the quantum scalar field. Meanwhile, an essential discrepancy exists between the non-relativistic QMs derived from the two alternative approaches: QFT generates a scalar QP, whereas various quantizations of natural mechanics lead to QPs depending on the choice of space coordinates as physical observables and nonvanishing even in flat space if the coordinates are curvilinear.
Why does matter possess wave-like properties? Is wave-particle duality an inherent dual nature of matter, or merely a projection of a deeper underlying physical structure under two distinct observational perspectives? This paper presents a rigorous first-principles derivation of matter wave dynamics within the axiomatic framework of Time Field Theory (TFT). The entire derivation relies solely on two core axioms: local intrinsic total velocity conservation and metric self-consistency (flux conservation), without introducing any extra postulates. Following the logical sequence of ontological foundation, phase derivation, wave generation, hierarchical classification, physical correspondence, extreme-case verification, and unified spectrum construction, this paper first establishes the core ontological premise that matter corresponds to localized condensed states of the time field. It then derives the geometric structure of the existence phase angle on the unit circle of the complex plane from the velocity conservation axiom, revealing the fundamental origin of intrinsic material phases. On this basis, the de Broglie relations are strictly derived, eliminating the dualistic contradiction between particle and wave characteristics. This work further distinguishes two distinct wave regimes: intrinsic waves originating from phase evolution within condensed states, and apparent waves arising from the global spatial translation of field distributions, which are respectively mapped onto electromagnetic waves and gravitational waves as two classes of physical reality. Using black hole horizons as an extreme physical testbed, we demonstrate that intrinsic wave phenomena vanish completely at time-freezing surfaces while apparent wave behaviors remain intact, providing a unified explanation for the observational fact that black holes emit no light yet produce gravitational waves. We also clarify the ontological origin of black hole darkness: light is not trapped by gravity, but the physical conditions required for photon generation cease to hold at time-freezing surfaces. Finally, we construct a continuous spectrum of wave behaviors ranging from the vacuum ground state to black hole horizons. This paper proves that wave-like behavior is not a binary ”present/absent” attribute of matter, but a continuous function of the condensation strength of the time field. Quantum mechanics and classical mechanics do not describe two separate physical worlds; instead, they represent two limiting regimes of a single universal time field under different condensation levels.
The probabilistic nature of quantum mechanics has long been debated as either an intrinsic property of reality or a limit of human knowledge. We propose a third option: quantum phenomena are the deterministic mechanical consequences of wave propagation through a discrete, stiffness-limited medium---the Golden-Rhombohedral Cosserat Vacuum, a five-fold symmetric quasicrystal we term the quintinuum. Building on our previous derivations of the fine-structure constant (α\alpha α) and gauge symmetries (U(1), SU(2), SU(3)) from vacuum geometry, we now derive the phenomenological behavior of quantum matter. We demonstrate that: (1) Wave-particle duality arises from the interaction between a topological defect (the particle) and its precursor strain field (the wave); (2) The uncertainty principle is a bandwidth limit imposed by the finite stiffness of the vacuum lattice; (3) Quantum non-locality results from longitudinal scalar tension relaxing through a volume-preserving medium. Crucially, by restoring the scalar component of Maxwell's original quaternionic electromagnetism, we derive the propagation speed of this longitudinal tension. We predict the ``Speed of Entanglement'' to be finite but superluminal: \begin{equation*} v_L = c \cdot \varphi^{47} \approx 2.0 \times 10^{18} \text{ m/s} \end{equation*} This framework resolves the paradoxes of the Copenhagen interpretation by replacing abstract postulates with the concrete mechanics of a golden-rhombohedral quasicrystal. The universe is not magic; it is a machine. We have found the gears.
