Abstract

In order to ensure the transmission security of electric power dispatching service data, a quantum key supply and dynamic adjustment algorithm is provided. Firstly, the key application scheme is determined according to the importance degree of different services, and the calculation method of the key pool capacity is also given. Secondly, the quantum key dynamic adjustment algorithm is designed based on the key update frequency and application schemes. Finally, the service model for the dispatching system is established, and our algorithm’s application performance for different scenarios is simulated under point-to-point/multipoint architectures. The test results show that the algorithm can realize the dynamic key adjustment in the selected adjustment period, and thus guarantee maximally the data transmission security in power dispatching data network.

Quantum Secure Communication Scheme for Power Dispatching Data

Liandong Chen, Rui Xin, Qianqian Zhang +4 more

In order to improve the security of power dispatching data transmission over the network, the combined modulation quantum key distribution system which encodes each single-photon signal with both phase modulation and polarization modulation is studied. Based on the abstract unit model of power dispatching data transmission network, the network deployment scheme of using quantum key to realize the encrypted transmission of dispatching data is elaborated. In order to better meet the needs of practical application scenarios, a quantum key allocation scheme that comprehensively considers service importance, service bandwidth, and the amount of remaining keys in the quantum key pool, a quantum key request response scheme that comprehensively considers service delay constraints, the number of service key requests and service importance, and a quantum key pool key resource supplement scheme that comprehensively considers the success rate of service encryption and the freshness of quantum keys in the quantum key pool are further designed. The scheme presented in this paper can provide a reference for the design and practical application of quantum secure communication network for power dispatching data.

Application of Big Data Analysis and Intelligent Algorithm in Power System Operation Optimization

Huichao Jin, Junyi Huo, Qingfen Wang +1 more

The power communication system provides powerful technical support for realizing the intelligent operation and information management of the power grid and improving the operation efficiency and power supply quality of the power grid. Quantum key distribution (QKD) is considered one of the most promising technologies for commercialization. QKD uses a single photon to encrypt data to produce a more secure and reliable password. This paper intends to study the hierarchical, centralized control architecture of power dispatching based on quantum essential supply (QKD). The performance indexes of MDI-QKD under symmetric and asymmetric conditions were studied by local optimization. The optimal key formation rate of the algorithm is analyzed. From the perspective of quantum critical utilization, a quantum key utilization scheme for grid backbone dispatching service is proposed. The dynamic adjustment test of multi-node time slot and service key update rate is carried out. Experiments show that the MDI scheme can effectively improve the effectiveness of a multi-node QKD system. Thus, the security of data transmission of the core business of power dispatching data networks can be ensured to the greatest extent. AMDI can effectively reduce the transmission timeout of low-priority data streams because the delay of high-priority data streams reaches the proportion. It can be an excellent solution to the power system and the password requirements.

Electric power communication network service importance evaluation method for quantum key application

Guochun Li, Su-xiang ZHANG, Wei Deng +3 more

With the expansion of the power grid and the increase of the complexity of the power system, the power grid has more stringent requirements for the security of the services transmission. In the secondary protection system of power systems, traditional encryption devices use symmetric encryption algorithms to add and decrypt communication data. Quantum keys have extremely high security. Applying the quantum keys to the power communication network encryption devices can greatly improve the security of service transmission. The quantum key resources generated by the existing quantum key distribution devices is limited, and it is difficult to ensure that all power services data are encrypted and transmitted. Therefore, it is necessary to prioritize the confidential transmission of important services by establishing appropriate evaluation methods for services importance. A relative importance matrix based on the transmission performance indicators of each service was built under the background of quantum communication, so as to obtain the importance of the power communication network business, and to carry out subsequent quantum key application strategy research.

The fifth-generation mobile communication (5G) has the advantages of high bandwidth, low time delay and low power consumption, and it can play an important role in all aspects of power transmission, substation, power distribution and electricity consumption, effectively making up for the disadvantages of traditional optical fiber communication and profoundly transforming the power communication network. However, the information security problems brought by the application of 5G technology are gradually becoming prominent. Based on this, a quantum key distribution strategy based on the quality of service (QoS) is proposed to improve the confidentiality of 5G electric power private network application scheme. Finally, the feasibility of quantum communication application in power dispatching system is verified. The test results show that the service quality of 5G private network meets the communication requirements of power grid services, the actual transmission delay of the power grid simulation dispatching data is about 1s, and there is no packet loss.

Yun Ren, Lei An, Gang Yang +5 more

This paper proposes a distribution network application scheme based on quantum secure communication and 5G hard slicing private network. The method can calculate the quantum key update frequency and distribution strategy of each power business by itself. The system performs the key self-evolution of the synchronization between the sender and the receiver by transmitting the random quantity of short length generated in the communication in the quantum channel. It replaces the traditional update method where a new full key must be sent and received after each update must be renegotiated. Finally, this paper proposes the key reading mode between the service terminal and the quantum key mobile storage device, the interface protocol between the service terminal device and the quantum key mobile storage device, and the key management method suitable for the power distribution service terminal. The experimental results show that the described method can realize the automation and intelligence of the optimal distribution of quantum keys for accurate data protection of various power services. This method can construct a precise and secure data protection mechanism based on quantum keys.

A Dynamic-Routing Algorithm Based on a Virtual Quantum Key Distribution Network

Lin Bi, Minghui Miao, Xiaoqiang Di

Quantum key distribution (QKD) is an encrypted communication technique based on the principles of quantum mechanics that ensures communication security by exploiting the properties of quantum states. Currently, the transmission efficiency of the QKD system is low. Trusted relay technology is used to solve this problem and achieve long-distance transmission. However, trusted relaying alone cannot decrypt the issues of poor link stability and the low utilization of key resources. To further optimize the system performance, we propose a dynamic routing algorithm. One of the improvement schemes includes the following: firstly, an adjustable-size quantum key pool (QKP) is designed, which can dynamically adjust the size of the refreshing pool according to the actual demand. Secondly, the utilization of key resources is improved by using the residual quantum key model to dynamically obtain the remaining key amount in the QKP and set the key amount threshold. We calculate the link-blocking probability and track the blocking intensity and blocking entry by combining the Poisson process, thus realizing the evaluation of the link stability. Finally, the number of remaining keys in the QKP and the link-blocking probability combine with the random wandering model as the basis of the route selection for the QKD dynamic routing algorithm to achieve efficient key path selection. We validated the algorithm by comparing it with other algorithms on the Mininet simulation platform, and the algorithm proved to have a better performance in terms of congestion avoidance, delay reduction, and improved QKD efficiency. This scheme provides a novel and efficient way to solve the problems in existing QKD systems. It effectively improves the transmission efficiency and strengthens the system’s security by dynamically obtaining the critical volume, accurately evaluating the link state, and selecting the optimal critical path.
