Abstract

The paper is showing the strange facts and realities pertaining to the quantum world and is explaining why it is so difficult to understand and to work with them. The paper is also stressing the important fact, that in order to understand these strange realities pertaining to the quantum phenomena, one should give up the traditional way of thinking of the science and should also renounce the false idea of the rationalism, that the reality can be known and understood only by scientific reasoning according to the limited present stage of science and knowledge.

Links between Normal Scale and Small Scale Phenomena

Cătălin Silviu Nuțu

The facts and phenomena pertaining to the quantum world are some of the most weird and not understood phenomena in the present days’ science. Therefore, any additional scientific material and any new ideas and approaches of this topic can be useful to grasp better these phenomena. The book addresses these challenges by offering new ways to look at and understand the quantum phenomena. The book is concerned with the detection of links between normal scale and small scale phenomena, namely the link between the quantum world and the real world and it shows that many of the quantum world rules are applying also for real world systems. The approach of the book is to explain in the first instance, in a more descriptive way, what are the reasons lying behind the writing of the book and the similarity between the quantum world and the normal scale world, analyzing and explaining why the restrictive limitations of the pure rationalism should be abandoned and replaced by newer, more modern and more adapted kinds of thinking. The next part is representing the prescriptive part of the book, being more scientific and more technical, is concerned with providing and finding solutions, explanations and theory based prediction methods for the quantum world phenomena, as well. Since there are serious limitations caused by our limited senses, perceptions and thinking (that is to say there are existing hidden dimensions for us, humans), another issue to be approached is to retrieve the information pertaining to those dimensions hidden to our senses and abilities. The competitive advantages and the benefits the book offers to its readers, are: explanation of the thinking ways used to understand the quantum phenomena; providing methods to model the quantum phenomena; linking the normal and quantum world phenomena going out from both: the particularities of normal scale systems and those of quantum world phenomena

The Problem of Scientific Realism Vis-a-Vis the Probabilistic Interpretation of Realities in Quantum Physics

KA Ojong, CO Akpan

Scientific realism holds that the objects of scientific knowledge exist independently of the minds or activities of scientists and those scientific theories are true of that objective world. This is antithetical to the posits of quantum physics, a body of knowledge taken as the seal of the sciences because of its incredible feat, which emphasizes observer created reality, and to that end subjective and probabilistic understanding of realities. Given this background, we contend that, if the thesis of scientific realism were to be taken as sacrosanct, nature would have remained somewhat unfavourable since nobody would have dared to ‘create’ reality other than those originally imposed by nature. And to the quantum physicist, the resort to probabilistic conception of reality is an obvious indication that nature in its dynamism is uncanny and still has billions of tricks for mankind.

Study of Evaluation of Importance and Future Prospect of Quantum Mechanics and Understand of Universe

K. A. Hossain

Quantum physics is the golden child of modern science. It is the basis of our understanding of atoms, radiation, and so much else, from elementary particles and basic forces to the behavior of materials. But for a century it has also been the problem child of science as it has been overwhelmed by intense disagreements between its inventors, strange paradoxes, and implications that seem like the stuff of fantasy. To understand the universe, quantum physics explores the behavior of the smallest particles in existence like quarks, electrons, and photons and which revealing a world that defies our everyday experiences and expectations. On the other hand, quantum mechanics (QM) is a fundamental theory in physics that describes the behavior of matter and energy at the atomic and subatomic levels, where classical physics fails to apply. However, the phenomena observed in QM can seem nothing short of miraculous. Physicists are trying to explain miracles of physics of universe meticulously which governed by precise scientific principles and mathematical equations. It is serious to modern technology, as its principles as well as wave-particle duality, superposition, and entanglement form the basis for electronics, computing, and medical technologies. The truth of QM in a scientific context refers to its exceptional ability to accurately describe and predict experimental results, not a philosophical ‘absolute truth’. Interestingly, the scientific elucidation of creation through quantum physics does not refute and contradict spiritual or religious narratives, rather augments our gratitude of the universe’s complexity and towards Almighty or Creator. The Bible’s or Quran’s account of creation provides a spiritual and philosophical outlook, accentuating purpose and intentionality. The precise explanations of particle behavior and cosmic formation in quantum physics, offers a balancing view grounded in empirical evidence. The purpose of this investigative study is to explore the scientific reality of QM and its purpose to depict the technical advancement for the development of modern civilization along with understand of universe in more logical way.

Structure of the quantum world

Roger Penrose

Abstract Quantum theory provides a superb description of physical reality on a small scale, yet it contains many mysteries. Without doubt, it is hard to come to terms with the workings of this theory, and it is particularly difficult to make sense of the kind of ‘physical reality’—or lack of it—that it seems to imply for our world. Taken at its face value, the theory seems to lead to a philosophical standpoint that many (including myself) find deeply unsatisfying. At best, and taking its descriptions at their most literal, it provides us with a very strange view of the world indeed. At worst, and taking literally the proclamations of some of its most famous protagonists, it provides us with no view of the world at all.

The Quanturn Picture of the World

Lawrence Sklar

Abstract Quantum theory has presented scientists and philosophers of science with a series of perplexing questions. It seems to many that any attempt to comprehend a world described by quantum theory will require revision in our understanding of the nature of things far more radical than the revision in our understanding of the nature of space and time demanded by the theories of relativity. It has been claimed that to comprehend quantum theory we must revise our very understanding of such matters as the objective nature of reality and its independence from our perception of it, the nature of a complex system and its relation to its components, and the nature of causal and other kinds of determination in the world.
