A fully quantum-mechanical Hamiltonian operator model of diatomic chain-lattice and its vibrating modes gained by 'invariant eigen-operators' method

Abstract

For diatomic chain-lattice we introduce a fully quantum-mechanical Hamiltonian operator and then search for its eigen-operator, in this way the acoustic modes and optical modes are easily obtained. This approach sharply differs from the traditional classical treatment and demonstrates the directness, simplicity and efficiency of the invariant eigen-operator method.

Deriving Vibration Modes of Semi-infinite Chain Model by "Invariant Eigen-operator" Method

Fan Hong-Yi, Hao Wu

For the first time, we introduce a fully quantum mechanical Hamiltonian for a semi-infinite chain model of atoms. We then derive the vibration modes of this model by virtue of the "invariant eigen-operator" method in two different cases, which is concise and revealing.

The Hamiltonian energylevel gap of the sodium D lines and the ordinary Zeeman effect can be obtained with convenience and directness by the invariant eigen-operator method. Applying this method,we mostly deal with the quantum operators, and do not have to refer the quantum states or wave functuion.

The invariant eigen-operator method for Hamiltonians with qubit system-environment models

In this paper, we apply the method of "invariant eigen-operator" to study the Hamiltonian of several different qubit-environment models. We find the invari-ant eigen-operator in terms of these models, which directly leads to the ener-gy-level gap for total system.

Normal coordinate in harmonic crystal obtained by virtue of the classical correspondence of the invariant eigen-operator

Meng Xiang-Guo, Fan Hong-Yi, Ji‐Suo Wang

Noticing that the equation with double-Poisson bracket, where On is normal coordinate, Hc is classical Hamiltonian, is the classical correspondence of the invariant eigen-operator equation (2004 Phys. Lett. A. 321 75), we can find normal coordinates in harmonic crystal by virtue of the invariant eigen-operator method.

Derivation of the energy-level gap of two-dimensional coupled quantum harmonic oscillators by invariant eigen-operator method

Shuai Wang

The invariant eigen-operator method is successfully applied to solving energy levels for some quantum systems' Hamiltonian. For two-dimensional coupled quantum harmonic oscillators, the Hamiltonian energy-level gap can be obtained with convenience and directness by this method. Then the Hamiltonian needs not to be diagonalized. The results show that the energy-level gaps are different for different coupled forms of two-dimensional quantum harmonic oscillators.

Applying invariant eigen-operator method to deriving normal coordinates of general classical Hamiltonian

Fan Hong-Yi, Junhua Chen, Yuan Hong-Chun

For classical Hamiltonian with general form we find a new convenient way to obtain its normal coordinates, namely, let H be quantised and then employ the invariant eigen-operator (IEO) method (Fan et al. 2004 Phys. Lett. A 321 75) to derive them. The general matrix equation, which relies on M and L, for obtaining the normal coordinates of H is derived.
