Abstract

The invariant eigen-operator method is successfully applied to solving energy levels for some quantum systems' Hamiltonian. For two-dimensional coupled quantum harmonic oscillators, the Hamiltonian energy-level gap can be obtained with convenience and directness by this method. Then the Hamiltonian needs not to be diagonalized. The results show that the energy-level gaps are different for different coupled forms of two-dimensional quantum harmonic oscillators.

Yang de Fang

In this paper, we apply the method of "invariant eigen-operator" to study the Hamiltonian of several different qubit-environment models. We find the invari-ant eigen-operator in terms of these models, which directly leads to the ener-gy-level gap for total system.

Based on the coupled harmonic oscillator model, which is born of Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain with nearest-neighbor interactions, we adopt the invariant eigen-operator method to derive its energy level, which provides an alternate approach to dealing with the dynamics of spin chain.

Deriving Energy-Level Gap of a System in Presence of a Kerr-like Medium by Virtue of Invariant Eigen-operator Method

Weijun Gui, JIA-ZHANG GUI, Tang Gang

In this paper, we find the invariant eigen-operators (IEOs) and the energy-level gap of a system with a two-level atom interacting with single mode cavity field through multi-photon transition in the presence of a Kerr-like medium. From this work, one can see that the IEO method in many cases is simpler and easier on obtaining the energy-level gap formula than the usual way.
