A realidade da “consciência quântica” na nossa realidade

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze through a critical, dialectical and analytical (scientific) debate "quantum consciousness" supposedly manifested in quantum experiments, in order to check the correctness of current speculations on the subject. The "quantum consciousness" is being propagated by some quantum physicists, by laymen and by speculators. The existence of this consciousness is the "holy grail" for a specific group of speculators, the "quantum prophets." For them a new theology begins to be created aiming to give a scientific nature to their old belief systems, religious or mystical, or, more radically, establish a new scientific-religious system.

A consciência quântica como fundamento da realidade no pensamento de Amit Goswami

José Dias, Ronaldo de Oliveira

Quantum Consciousness is worked on, investigating from Amit Goswami how how “she” can be, ontologically, the foundation of reality at its most fundamental level and how it can become immanent. The objective is to present the concept of consciousness in a historical perspective as prior to materiality. It describes how the consciousness unfolds in subject and object provoking the phenomenal experience. It unveils a universal element that permeates everything and opens possibilities for application in ethics and in everything where there is the presence of a conscious being. Everything has been found to be possibility in quantum consciousness until the observer collapses making the transcendent immanent. It is hypothesized that quantum consciousness is the foundation of reality and that all people and beings have a common origin.

O mundo é o grande espelho da consciência: reflexões sobre as implicações quânticas do idealismo absoluto de Hegel

Sinésio Ferraz Bueno

In the field of quantum physics studies, Heisenberg's thought provokes very relevant reflections for an articulation between science and metaphysics, given the importance attributed to the subject in the collapse of the superposition between wave and particle. From an idealistic perspective, the importance given to the subject in the observation of quantum phenomena can be considered a stage of the development of consciousness within the scope of the phenomenology of Hegel's spirit. Quantum physics, under an idealistic perspective, represents a fundamental moment in the recognition and dialectical overcoming of the dualisms produced by the subject himself in his relationship with the world.

LE QUATTRO STAGIONI DEL MISTICISMO QUANTISTICO

Roberto Paura

THE FOUR SEASONS OF QUANTUM MYSTICISM The article offers a historical genealogy of the so-called “quantum mysticism” argument, i.e. the tendency to consider quantum mechanics in accordance with issues coming from Eastern mysticism or New Age spirituality. Specifically, the article retraces the four historical phases of the debate on quantum consciousness, namely, the idea that consciousness (the human mind) plays a determining role in the process of quantum reduction, showing how the debates within the scientific community and the pseudoscientific drifts in mass culture are closely intertwined

The Role of Quantum Mechanics in Understanding the Phenomenon of Consciousness

Igor V. Cherepanov

The article analyzes the effectiveness of quantum theories of mental experience in relation to two ontological problems - the problem of the existence of consciousness in the material world and the problem of the interaction of consciousness and body. A critical analysis of the quantum theories of consciousness by Penrose-Hameroff, M. Tegmark, G. Stapp, M. Fischer and M.B. Mensky shows that they fail to fully explain how complex physical systems generate mental experience without violating the principle of causal closure of the physical world and the principle of epistemological completeness of physics. Quantum mechanics provides specific processes that are the physical basis of the psyche, but do not explain the phenomenal aspect of subjective reality. Nevertheless, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle gives an understanding of how the interaction of consciousness and body within the scientific picture of the world can be carried out without violating the law of energy conservation. It is shown that the quantum theories of consciousness currently being developed have a predominantly panprotopsychic character, which faces a problem due to the fact that the protomental property of physical systems must be expressed quantitatively and correspond to the value included in the physical equations. As a result, it is concluded that in order to develop quantum theories of consciousness more effectively, it is necessary to give an emergent character, not jumping from the quantum level to the psychic, but explaining the mechanism of the emergence of systemic properties during the sequential transition between different ontological regions of existence, including physical, chemical, biological, neurophysiological and psychic.

Quantum Reality and the importance of consciousness in the universe

Quantum Theories of Consciousness

Paavo Pylkkänen

This chapter provides a brief historical introduction to quantum theory, and shows that the theory opens up some radically new ways of thinking about the place of mind and consciousness in nature. Quantum theory is all about learning, on the basis of scientific experiments, to question the "obvious" truths about the nature of the physical world and to come up with more coherent alternatives. The chapter considers the famous two-slit experiment. It explores what the different interpretations of quantum theory say about situations like the two-slit experiment, and also considers what kind of theories of mind and consciousness some interpretations have inspired. The attempt to explain mind and consciousness in terms of the quantum theory involves heavy speculation. The advances in quantum biology, while not giving direct support to quantum brain theory, perhaps make a biologically grounded quantum theory of consciousness seem less inconceivable.
