Abstract

In this paper, we construct and investigate the nonclassical properties of the squeezing and rotating coherent state (SRCS) via a generalized squeezed operator by introducing a novel parameter r. In a particular case r = 0, SRCS reduces to the normal squeezed coherent state (SCS). The influence of r is studied in terms of squeezing and quantum statistical properties. Our results show that in the SCS not only is squeezing enhanced but also is rotated by the parameter r. Our discussion about the fidelity between SRCS and SCS shows that the fidelity values decrease with increasing parameter r. The experimental scheme for producing SRCS is also given via a self-Kerr medium and non-degenerate parametric amplifier.

Superposition of Generalized q-Coherent States of the Non-harmonicOscillator and Their Nonclassical Properties

Zhongqing Wang, Zhou Qing Ping, Zhu Lianxuan +1 more

The superposition states, which are composed of the generalized q-coherent states of the non-harmonic oscillator, are presented. The quantum statistical properties of these states are studied. Then the influence of the superposition phase δ and the deformation parameter q on these nonclassical properties are discussed. It is shown that the superposition states exhibit higher-order (order of odd number) squeezing effect and antibunching effect respectively. When the superposition phase δ is taken values approach to 0 or π/2, these results approach the properties of the even or odd generalized q-coherent states of the non-harmonic oscillator. Especially, the effects are influenced by the parameter q. When the values of q is taken departure from 1 greatly, the nonclassical properties are more evidently.

Nonclassical Properties of the Superposition of the qs-Coherent State

Chen Chang

In this paper, the superposition of the qs coherent states is constructed, and its nonclassical properties such as squeezing property, antibunching effect are studied. The effects of the superposition coefficient and deformed parameter q and s variables on these nonclassical properties are discussed by making use of numerical calculation. The relevant results of the even and odd qs coherent states, as special cases, are contained in more general conclusion of this paper.

Nonclassical statistical properties of fields in squeezed even and squeezed odd coherent states

Kaicheng Zhu, Xiangru Li, Qin Wang

We examine the nonclassical statistical properties of the squeezed even and the squeezed odd coherent states defined by the superposed states involving two squeezed coherent states with phase difference π between their displacement parameters. We demonstrate that the fields in the squeezed even coherent state can exhibit a remarkably enhanced squeezing level and mean photon number in comparison with the input squeezed coherent state. We also give examples of physical processes that lead to such a superposition.

The non-Gaussianity and nonclassicality of photon-subtracted-then-added squeezing-enhanced coherent state

Ngoc Duy Tinh Phan, Minh Duc Truong

Abstract In this paper, we aim to introduce a new state called photon-subtracted-then-added squeezing-enhanced coherent state (PSASECS) by multiple photon subtraction and then addition to a squeezing-enhanced coherent state. We investigate the non-Gaussianity and nonclassicality of this new state in detail, including its Wigner function, sub-Poissonian statistics, Q -function, squeezing, and antibunching properties. The obtained results indicate that these non-Gaussian and nonclassical characteristics have been enhanced by appropriately changing between photon subtraction l and photon addition k . Additionally, the non-Gaussianity and nonclassicality of PSASECS are enhanced compared to cases involving only the addition or subtraction of photons. This demonstrates the importance of subtracting and then adding photons to the squeezing-enhanced coherent state, and introducing a significant state for application in quantum optics, particularly in mitigating phase noise fluctuations in quantum devices.

The nonclassical properties of the superposition involving two squeezing coherent states

Anhua Zou

We mainly examine the nonclassical statistical properties of both squeezed even and Squeezed odd coherent states defined by the superposed states involving two squeezed coherent states with a phase difference n between their displacement parameters. We demonstrate that the fields in squeezed even coherent state can exhibit remarkably enhanced squeezing level and mean photon number in comparison with the input squeezed coherent state. We also point out the examples of the physical processes leading to such a superpotition.

Nonlinear displaced Kerr state and its nonclassical properties

Arpita Chatterjee, Rupamanjari Ghosh

We construct a distinct class of nonlinear displaced Kerr states by application of the displacement operator upon a state which is prepared by sending the well-known photon-added coherent state through a normal Kerr medium. A sketch for the experimental setup for preparing the state is suggested. We evaluate some statistical properties such as the photon number distribution, Mandel’s Q parameter, Husimi-Q and Wigner functions, and quadrature squeezing for the nonlinear displaced Kerr state and then analyze the nonclassicality in terms of these standard parameters. We reduce the infinite-level problem to a truncated discrete two-level system by using a low Kerr parameter approximation and then convert the generated nonclassicality into bipartite entanglement between the two modes of an output state of a linear optical device.
