Abstract

With scant regard for conventional paradigms we look squarely at the evidence and derive a space-time framework accounting for quantum non-locality and retro-causality. On this basis we gather insight into the origins of time, space and mass. We derive the mass-transformation formula according to Special Relativity and provide a context for the internal symmetries of the Standard Model. To provide a philosophical context we derive the central structure of the esoteric cosmological model from first principles while demonstrating its consistency with the framework. As a result of this unification, consciousness enters physics.

Quantum Spacetime and Consciousness

Philip J. Carter

A higher-dimensional spacetime model is proposed, accounting for nonlocal quantum phenomena while embracing Special Relativity as a limiting case. The Aspect and Megidish experiments are explained within this spacetime framework. Time is understood as spatial motion relative to higher dimensions, offering the degrees of freedom demanded by nonlocal effects along with a consistent milieu for Kaluza’s 5-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory. Special Relativity and quantum mechanics converge in the higher dimensions to yield the origins of mass while providing a geometrical mechanism relating mass and spacetime curvature (gravity). Part Two introduces a consciousness model within the higherdimensional spacetime framework, integrating elements of physics, psychology, philosophy and metaphysics. Evidence from dreams is shown to correspond to both the physical model and the consciousness model. A theory of perception is presented on the foregoing basis.

Higher-Dimensional Relativity and the Wavefunction

Philip J. Carter

We approach the Nature and Ontology of Spacetime by considering the properties of the wavefunction. On the basis of observed retrocausal effects and consequent time-symmetric approaches to QM we conclude that the wavefunction is extended in time as well as in space, and hence is minimally a 4-dimensional entity occupying a 4-space resembling the Block Universe. On this basis we erect a higher-dimensional spacetime framework accounting for nonlocality and retrocausality while providing insight into the origins of time, space, mass and inertia. We elucidate relativistic mass and derive the mass transformation equation according to Special Relativity from quantum mechanical and relativistic principles. The framework is shown to provide a spatial context for Kaluza’s 5D Einstein-Maxwell theory and the internal symmetries of the Standard Model.

Framework for Unification of Physics

Philip Carter

On the basis of acknowledged quantum facts it is argued that the quantum state is extended in four spatial dimensions in a 4D space interpenetrating our 3D space. The notion of branes is borrowed from M/String Theory to conceptualize the spatial arrangement. Euclidean spacetime is reinterpreted as the spatial geometry of the 4-brane, with imaginary time reinterpreted as the fourth (imaginary) spatial dimension. The imaginary axis of the quantum state is identified as its fourth spatial dimension, yielding a natural union of Special Relativity and Quantum Mechanics and the emergence of time. Spatial properties are shown to explain quantum nonlocality, while time in the 3-brane emerges from motion of or through the imaginary dimension in the 4-brane. A consciousness-model is introduced which conforms to the spatial configuration while providing mechanisms for resolution of the Measurement Problem.

Quantum Time - Wavefunction Collapse as the Origin of Spacetime and the Standard Model

Samuel Matthew Zygielbaum

See changelog below. The full derivations are provided in the attached paper. Every result is reproducible from the stated inputs. This paper derives the complete Standard Model, quantum mechanics, spacetime, and gravity — 85 quantitative results at sub-percent precision spanning 15 orders of magnitude — from a single postulate, four structural principles, and one measurement. The Standard Model has seventeen free parameters. General relativity has no quantum theory. The measurement problem has been open for a century. The cosmological constant is wrong by 120 orders of magnitude. The question of why there is something rather than nothing has no physical answer in any existing framework. Each of these failures shares a common omission: none ask where time comes from. This paper takes that question seriously. A single physical principle — information cannot be destroyed — is self-sealing: its own violation is incoherent. Its formal expression is Postulate I: each foreclosed quantum branch produces exactly one chronon — a massless spin-1 gauge boson of U(1)_T, the unique gauge group forced by the complex ray structure of the Hilbert space and the single scalar collapse charge. We call it the chronon. Time is not the background in which physics happens; it is generated by physics, irreversibly, at every collapse. These requirements yield a single Lagrangian, ℒ_QT, that extends the Standard Model by one massless spin-1 field and one coupling constant. From this — combined with one measurement, Newton’s gravitational constant G — we derive: all of quantum mechanics via the Piron–Soler–Gleason chain (not assumed); the complete Standard Model with all dimensionless parameters determined; the complete resolution of the measurement problem, including the environmental decoherence cascade; and 85 quantitative physical results spanning fifteen orders of magnitude in energy. Three spatial dimensions follow from the channel-matching principle (D = N_c) and the Weinberg angle consistency condition (N_c = 3). The Big Bang was not initiated — it was mandatory. The numerical precision is sharp. The worst result where the theoretical prediction exceeds experimental precision is 0.5%. For the majority of results, the framework’s prediction is already more precise than the measurement. The proton-to-electron mass ratio m_p/m_e = 2N_cπ⁵(1 + α²/√(N_c²−1)) agrees to sub-ppb precision. The proton charge radius matches muonic hydrogen to five significant figures. The Higgs boson mass to 0.002% via the full cascade derivation (0.25% from the explicit formula). The W boson mass to 0.001%. The fine structure constant to 0.026% (1/α = 137 exactly at tree level). The cosmological constant — wrong by 120 orders of magnitude in standard QFT — is derived to 0.03%. The Hubble tension, a 5σ discrepancy unresolved in standard cosmology, follows from the same structure: H₀_local = H₀ × 13/12 = 73.0 km/s/Mpc (0.05%). All four PMNS neutrino mixing parameters, previously unexplained, are derived to sub-0.5%. Sub-percent agreement spans from neutrino mass splittings at ~9 meV to the CMB temperature at 2.725 K — fifteen orders of magnitude from a single dimensionful input. The framework makes ten falsifiable predictions currently under test: an electron electric dipole moment of exactly zero (ACME III is live); a spin-1 gravitational wave breathing mode at ~9% of the + polarisation amplitude (testable with LIGO O4/O5 data); no dark matter particle in any direct-detection experiment; no graviton — gravity is geometric drift in a proper-time gradient sourced by the energy-momentum tensor, not exchange of a spin-2 particle; there is nothing to detect. A confirmed non-zero electron EDM or a detected graviton falsifies the framework immediately. The logical order, from bottom to top: information cannot be destroyed → P-I (one chronon per foreclosed branch) → proposition lattice with axioms P0–P4 → Piron–Soler–Gleason chain → complex Hilbert space → ray phase redundancy → single scalar collapse charge → U(1)_T gauge field with Maxwell dynamics → channel-matching principle gives D = N_c → Weinberg angle selects N_c = 3 → D = 3 → adding G through the Planck cascade gives λ_conf = 0.40092 fm → the complete Standard Model follows. Spacetime, quantum mechanics, and the Standard Model are not independent inputs — they follow as consequences of P-I, the structural principles, and one observational consistency condition. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ v86 Changelog (April 7–8 2026) — All numerical results unchanged from v85. Consciousness and quantum mechanics of macroscopic systems

M. V. Altaĭsky

We propose the quantum mechanical description of complex systems should be performed using two types of causality relation: the ordering relation ($x\prec y$) and the subset relation ($A\subseteq B$). The structures with two ordering operations, called the causal sites, have been already proposed in context of quantum gravity (Christensen and Crane, 2005). We suggest they are also common to biological physics and may describe how the brain works. In the spirit of the Penrose ideas we identify the geometry of the space-time with universal field of consciousness. The latter has its evident counterparts in ancient Indian philosophy and provides a framework for unification of physical and mental phenomena.

The Emergence of Space and Time

Christian Wüthrich

Causal set theory starts out from a central result in general relativity according to which the causal structure determines, up to a so-called ‘conformal factor’, the geometry of a relativistic spacetime. Space and time, it seems, must be part and parcel of the ontology of any physical theory, of any theory with a credible claim to being a physical theory, that is. After all, physics is the science of the fundamental constitution of the material bodies, their motion in space and time, and indeed of space and time themselves. There are two areas in physics in which space or spacetime may emerge from something qualitatively rather different: wave function monism in quantum mechanics and quantum theories of gravity. The former case concerns a particular interpretative issue in non-relativistic quantum mechanics. The severity and the characteristics of the disappearance of spacetime differ from one approach to quantum gravity to another.
