Sudden vanishing of thermal entanglement with Herring-Flicker coupling in bipartite system

Abstract

In this letter we study thermal entanglement in bipartite spin system imposed by external magnetic field with Herring-Flicker coupling ie. $J(R)=1.642 e^{-2 R} R^{5/2}+O(R^{2}e^{-2R})$. The Herring-Flicker coupling strength is the function of $R$, which is the distance between spins. By tuning the coupling distance the entanglement can be scaled in the bipartite system. In the present letter we find the thermal entanglement suddenly vanish from the system over the coupling distance $R$. We also investigate the parameter values where the thermal entanglement vanishing takes place. The present findings in the letter may be useful for designing quantum wires, data bus, solid state gates and quantum processors with spin systems.

Entanglement teleportation in anisotropic Heisenberg XY spin model with Herring–Flicker coupling

In this paper, the features of quantum teleportation of a maximally entangled input thermal state using a system, consisting of two qubits (spin-1/2) anisotropic XY Heisenberg model with Herring–Flicker coupling in the presence of a magnetic field, are discussed. So, we study the influence on the thermal entanglement of different physical parameters such as temperature [Formula: see text], magnetic field [Formula: see text], degree of anisotropy [Formula: see text] and distance [Formula: see text] between the two spins. The goal is to determine the conditions of use of the system as a good channel to promote quantum teleportation. The amount of output entanglement is quantified by the concurrence [Formula: see text], and the quality of teleportation is analyzed using the concept of fidelity [Formula: see text]. It is shown that [Formula: see text] presents a maximum at extremely low temperature for a large range of the parameter [Formula: see text]. Also, when we increase the temperature, we observe a dissipation of the appropriate range of [Formula: see text] and the decrease of the amplitude of [Formula: see text]. Besides, under an external magnetic field [Formula: see text], we show the appearance of quantum phase transitions with the entanglement vanishing when the condition [Formula: see text] is fulfilled, then the system can ensure the ideal communication transmission. Concerning the Ising model [Formula: see text] in the ground state, the output entanglement is nonzero only in the presence of the magnetic field [Formula: see text], and this model is useful for ensuring a distorted transmission. At finite temperature, the fidelity [Formula: see text] is less than the value 2/3, so that the system is useless as a quantum channel for providing quantum teleportation.

Thermal quantum coherence of two–qutrit Heisenberg XXZ model with Herring-Flicker coupling and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction under magnetic field

Abstract In this study, we use the concept of l 1-norm coherence to characterize the entanglement of a two–qutrit Heisenberg XXZ model for subject to a uniform magnetic field and z–axis Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction with Herring-Flicker coupling. We show that the temperature, magnetic field, DM interaction, and distance of Herring-Flicker coupling can all control the entanglement. However, the state system becomes less entangled at high temperatures or strong magnetic fields and vice versa. Our findings suggest that entanglement rises when the z–axis DM interaction increases. Additionally, we show that plateau behavior in the entanglement between spins (1, 1) occurs in the XXZ Heisenberg spin system and is influenced by the magnetic field, demonstrating that thermal agitation can weaken entanglement plateaus. Moreover, by setting the strengths coupling of the spin, we quickly recover the isotropic XY and XXX Heisenberg models. Finally, Herring-Flicker coupling affects the degree of entanglement. When Herring-Flicker coupling and temperature are at small values, the degree of entanglement is at its highest. Still, when Herring-Flicker coupling is at substantial values, the degree of entanglement tends to stabilize.

Thermal entanglement in the system consisting of spin 1/2 and spin S

Mao-Fa Fang

Quantum thermal entanglement of two next nearest-neighbor qubits in a four-qubit isotropic Heisenberg XY model consisting of spin 1/2 and spin S in a homogeneous external magnetic field B was investigated by concurrence measure of entanglement. The results show that the external magnetic field can induce the thermal entanglement of two next nearest-neighbor qubits. The amplitude of thermal entanglement is dependent on the spin S,temperature T and homogeneous external magnetic field B.As a result,it is feasible to control thermal entanglement by adjusting the value of external magnetic field B.When S is sufficiently large, the threshold temperature above which there is no thermal entanglement may also be very high. The feature can be used in high-temperature entanglement of condensed matter systems and it will be useful in the research of quantum information in solid systems.

Persistence of entanglement in thermal states of spin systems

Gehad Sadiek, Sabre Kais

We study and compare the persistence of bipartite entanglement (BE) and multipartite entanglement (ME) in one-dimensional and two-dimensional spin XY models in an external transverse magnetic field under the effect of thermal excitations. We compare the threshold temperature at which the entanglement vanishes in both types of entanglement. We use the entanglement of formation as a measure of the BE and the geometric measure to evaluate the ME of the system. We have found that in both dimensions in the anisotropic and partially anisotropic spin systems at zero temperatures, all types of entanglement decay as the magnetic field increases but are sustained with very small magnitudes at high field values. Also we found that for the same systems, the threshold temperatures of the nearest neighbour (nn) BEs are higher than both of the next-to-nearest neighbour BEs and MEs and the three of them increase monotonically with the magnetic field strength. Thus, as the temperature increases, the ME and the far parts BE of the system become more fragile to thermal excitations compared to the nn BE. For the isotropic system, all types of entanglement and threshold temperatures vanish at the same exact small value of the magnetic field. We emphasise the major role played by both the properties of the ground state of the system and the energy gap in controlling the characteristics of the entanglement and threshold temperatures. In addition, we have shown how an inserted magnetic impurity can be used to preserve all types of entanglement and enhance their threshold temperatures. Furthermore, we found that the quantum effects in the spin systems can be maintained at high temperatures, as the different types of entanglements in the spin lattices are sustained at high temperatures by applying sufficiently high magnetic fields.

Thermal entanglement in a mixed spin Heisenberg XXX chain with DM interaction

Nizar Ahami, M. El Baz

We consider a one-dimensional, mixed spin Heisenberg XXX model with an homogeneous external magnetic field and Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction. Alternating spin-[Formula: see text] and spin-1 particles are forming the chain. The effect of the different parameters of the system on the bipartite thermal entanglement is studied. The type of chain used (mixed) and the size of the chain ([Formula: see text]) allow to study three types of bipartite entanglement, the qubit–qubit, qubit–qutrit and qutrit–qutrit thermal entanglement.
