Abstract

This talk presents recent experiments on the nonlinear interaction of a single organic molecule with two weak continuous-wave narrow-band laser beams in a tight focus, in a dielectric nanoguide and in an ultrasmall Fabry-Perot micocavity.

We report on four-wave mixing in a single organic molecule placed at the tight focus of two near resonant laser beams. By directly monitoring the intensity of a weak probe beam after the interaction with the molecule, we observe a rich set of resonance profiles in excellent agreement with theory.
