Two-dimensional disordered Ising model within nonextensive statistics

Abstract

In this work, the two-dimensional disordered Ising model with nonextensive Tsallis statistics has been studied for the first time. The critical temperatures and critical indices have been determined for both disordered and uniform models. A new type of critical behavior has been revealed for the disordered model with nonextensive statistics. It has been shown that, within the nonextensive statistics of the two-dimensional Ising model, the Harris criterion is also valid.

Dynamic critical behavior of the two-dimensional Ising model with nonextensive statistics

В. Н. Бородихин

The dynamic critical behavior of the two-dimensional Ising model with nonextensive Tsallis statistics has been studied. The values of the dynamic critical index z as well as the values of the indices ν and β for different values of the deformation parameter q have been obtained. The emergence of a new type of critical behavior has been revealed.

Finite-size analysis of a two-dimensional Ising model within a nonextensive approach

Nuno Crokidakis, Diogo O. Soares-Pinto, Mario S. Reis +3 more

In this work we present a thorough analysis of the phase transitions that occur in a ferromagnetic two-dimensional Ising model, with only nearest-neighbors interactions, in the framework of the Tsallis nonextensive statistics. We performed Monte Carlo simulations on square lattices with linear sizes L ranging from 32 up to 512. The statistical weight of the Metropolis algorithm was changed according to the nonextensive statistics. Discontinuities in the m(T) curve are observed for $q\ensuremath{\le}0.5$. However, we have verified only one peak on the energy histograms at the critical temperatures, indicating the occurrence of continuous phase transitions. For the $0.5<q\ensuremath{\le}1.0$ regime, we have found continuous phase transitions between the ordered and the disordered phases, and determined the critical exponents via finite-size scaling. We verified that the critical exponents $\ensuremath{\alpha}$, $\ensuremath{\beta}$, and $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ depend on the entropic index $q$ in the range $0.5<q\ensuremath{\le}1.0$ in the form $\ensuremath{\alpha}(q)=(10{q}^{2}\ensuremath{-}33q+23)/20$, $\ensuremath{\beta}(q)=(2q\ensuremath{-}1)/8$, and $\ensuremath{\gamma}(q)=({q}^{2}\ensuremath{-}q+7)/4$. On the other hand, the critical exponent $\ensuremath{\nu}$ does not depend on $q$. This suggests a violation of the scaling relations $2\ensuremath{\beta}+\ensuremath{\gamma}=d\ensuremath{\nu}$ and $\ensuremath{\alpha}+2\ensuremath{\beta}+\ensuremath{\gamma}=2$ and a nonuniversality of the critical exponents along the ferro-paramagnetic frontier.

Locating analytically critical temperatures in some statistical systems

J. Wosiek

We have found a simple criterion which allows for the straightforward determination of the order-disorder critical temperatures. The method reproduces exactly known results for the two-dimensional Ising, Potts, and Z(N5) models. It also works for the Ising model on the triangular lattice. For systems that are not self-dual, our proposition remains an unproven conjecture. It predicts ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\beta}}}_{\mathit{c}}$=0.2656. . . for the two coupled layers of Ising spins. The critical temperature of the three-dimensional Ising model is related to the free energy of the two-layer Ising system.

Finite-size scaling analysis of the anisotropic critical behavior of the two-dimensional Ising model under shear

D. Winter, Peter Virnau, Jürgen Horbach +1 more

The critical behavior of the two-dimensional Ising Model with non-conserved order parameter in steady-state shear is studied by large-scale Monte Carlo simulations. Studying the structure factor S ( q x , q y ) in the disordered phase, the ratio of correlation length exponents ν x /ν y in the two lattice directions ( x , y ) is estimated, and the critical temperature is determined as a function of the shear rate as T c ( ) − T c (0) ∝ ϕ with ϕ≈0.45. Critical exponents β≈0.37, γ≈1.1, ; ν ⊥ ≈0.46, ν ∥ ≈1.38 are roughly compatible with anisotropic hyperscaling.

Two-dimensional Ising model with self-dual biaxially correlated disorder

Farkas Adam Bagaméry, Loïc Turban, Ferenc Iglói

We consider the Ising model on the square lattice with biaxially correlated random ferromagnetic couplings, the critical point of which is fixed by self-duality. The disorder, which has a correlator, $G(r)\ensuremath{\sim}{r}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$, represents a relevant perturbation according to the extended Harris criterion. Critical properties of the system are studied by large scale Monte Carlo simulations. The correlation length critical exponent $\ensuremath{\nu}=2.005(5)$ corresponds to that expected in a system with isotropic correlated long-range disorder, whereas the scaling dimension of the magnetization density ${x}_{m}=\ensuremath{\beta}∕\ensuremath{\nu}=0.1294(7)$ is somewhat larger than in the pure system. Conformal properties of the magnetization and energy density profiles are also examined numerically.

Critical Behavior Simulation of the Two-Dimensional Ising Model—A Computational Physics Study Based on the Monte Carlo Method

佳钢 李

To demonstrate the application of computational physics in modern statistical physics, this paper investigates the critical behavior of a finite-size ferromagnetic system based on the two-dimensional square-lattice Ising model.A nearest-neighbor Ising Hamiltonian is constructed, and periodic boundary conditions are adopted to reduce finite-boundary effects. The Metropolis Monte Carlo algorithm is used to sample spin configurations at different temperatures, while energy, magnetization, specific heat, magnetic susceptibility and Binder cumulant are calculated to describe the transition from an ordered state to a disordered state. The simulation results show that the system exhibits clear long-range order at low temperatures, where the order parameter remains high.As temperature increases, thermal fluctuations become stronger, magnetization decreases rapidly, and the system gradually evolves into a disordered state. The specific heat curve shows a pronounced peak at approximately (T = 2.269), while the susceptibility peak shifts slightly toward the high-temperature side due to finite-size effects and the discrete temperature grid.Overall, the simulated critical region is consistent with the theoretical critical temperature of the two-dimensional square-lattice Ising model.Spin-configuration analysis further reveals enhanced fluctuations and domain reconstruction near the critical region. In addition, a thermalization criterion and an extended sampling test for L = 48 near the critical region are added to examine the influence of finite sampling and equilibration. These results indicate that Monte Carlo simulation of the two-dimensional Ising model can effectively reproduce continuous phase transition, critical fluctuation and finite-size effects, providing a basic computational case for understanding critical phenomena in complex systems and data-driven physical analysis.
