Abstract

The invariant-related unitary transformation method is used to study the transference of a kind of nonclassical properties between two interacting modes of light. With the aid of numerical computation,it is interesting to find that the mutual conversion of the Fock states (being nonclassical) and the coherent states is attained when the interaction is chosen appropriately.

GENERATION OF NONCLASSICAL STATES OF LIGHT FIELD BY ORTHO-SYMMETRIZATION

彭石安

In recent years, nonclassical effects of light field havealways been a very conspicuous subject. In this field an effective approach is to construct as many as possible the nonclassical states of light field that are allowed in the frame of quantum mechanics and then to study their properties, so as to find out the relations of different nonclassical effects or states of light field and to discover new nonclassical effects or states of light field.

Generation of multi-mode nonclassical correlations of light

Kisik Kim

We generate multi-mode nonclassical correlations in the output field from the single-mode nonclassicality in the input field with a unitary optical device. It is shown that, according to the invariance of nonclassicality, the decrement of the single-mode nonclassicality is compensated for by the appearance of multi-mode nonclassical correlations. We demonstrate a complete transfer of single-mode nonclassicality to a multi-mode nonclassical correlation for a 1 × 2 array of beam splitters, when chaotic lights are taken as auxiliary classical fields of the input.

Nonclassicality Invariant of General Two-Mode Gaussian States

Ievgen I. Arkhipov, Jan Peřina, Jiŕí Svozilík +1 more

We introduce a new quantity for describing nonclassicality of an arbitrary optical two-mode Gaussian state which remains invariant under any global photon-number preserving unitary transformation of the covariance matrix of the state. The invariant naturally splits into an entanglement monotone and local-nonclassicality quantifiers applied to the reduced states. This shows how entanglement can be converted into local squeezing and vice versa. Twin beams and their transformations at a beam splitter are analyzed as an example providing squeezed light. An extension of this approach to pure three-mode Gaussian states is given.

NONCLASSICAL PROPERTIES OF TWO-MODE DISPLACED FOCK STATE

Ngoc Duy Tinh Phan, Thi Hong Thanh Le, Truong Minh Duc

In this paper, we investigate a variety of nonclassical properties of a two-mode displaced Fock state (TMDFS). Nonclassical properties such as sum squeezing, difference squeezing, antibunching effect, and the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality will be discussed analytically for the TMDFS. The results show that by changing the Fock state parameters between modes and the displacement parameter, the TMDFS exhibits enhanced nonclassical behaviors and makes a valuable contribution to quantum optics.

QUANTUM PROPERTIES OF LIGHT OF SQUEEZED VACUUM FIELD RAMAN INTERACTING WITH TWO COUPLED ATOMS

HUANG CHUN-JIA, Jiangfan Li, He Hui-Yong +1 more

The squeezing and coherence properties of the light produced by the Raman interaction of single-mode squeezed vacuum field with two coupling atoms are studied by means of quantum theory. Using the numerical method, the relation between the quantum properties of the light and the coupling parameter and initial state of the system is discussed.
