Abstract

By introducing an arbitrary-dimensional multipartite entanglement measure, which is defined in terms of the reduced density matrices corresponding to all possible two partitions of the entire system, we prove that multipartite entanglement cannot be freely shared among the parties in both n-qubit systems and three-qutrit systems. Furthermore, our result implies that the satisfaction of the entanglement monogamy is related to the number of particles in the quantum system. As an application of three-qutrit monogamy inequality, we give a condition for the separability of a class of two-qutrit mixed states in a 3 ⊗ 3 system.

Monogamy of Quantum Entanglement

Xiao-Lan Zong, Hao-Hao Yin, Wei Song +1 more

Unlike classical correlation, quantum entanglement cannot be freely shared among many parties. This restricted shareability of entanglement among multi-party systems is known as monogamy of entanglement, which is one of the most fundamental properties of entanglement. Here, we summarize recent theoretical progress in the field of monogamy of entanglement. We firstly review the standard CKW-type monogamy inequalities in terms of various entanglement measures. In particular, the squashed entanglement and one-way distillable entanglement are monogamous for arbitrary dimensional systems. We then introduce some generalized version of monogamy inequalities which extend and sharpen the traditional ones. We also consider the dual polygamy inequalities for multi-party systems. Moreover, we present two new definitions to define monogamy of entanglement. Finally, some challenges and future directions for monogamy of entanglement are highlighted.

Violation of monogamy inequality for higher-dimensional objects

Yong-Cheng Ou

Bipartite quantum entanglement for qutrits and higher-dimensional objects is considered. We analyze the possibility of violation of monogamy inequality, introduced by Coffman, Kundu, and Wootters, for some systems composed of such objects. An explicit counterexample with a three-qutrit totally antisymmetric state is presented. Since three-tangle has been confirmed to be a natural measure of entanglement for qubit systems, our result shows that the three-tangle is no longer a legitimate measure of entanglement for states with three qutrits or higher-dimensional objects.

Multipartite monogamy of the concurrence

Marcio F. Cornelio

The monogamy of entanglement is generally discussed using a bipartite entanglement measure as an upper bound. Here we discuss a new kind of monogamous relation where the upper bound is given by a multipartite measure of entanglement, the generalized concurrence. We show a monogamous equality involving the multipartite concurrence, all the bipartite concurrences, and the genuine tripartite entanglement for pure three-qubit systems. The result extends to mixed states in an inequality involving the generalized concurrence and all the bipartite concurrences. We provide a counterexample showing that the result cannot be extended for systems with more than three qubits.

Entanglement of formation and monogamy of multi-party quantum entanglement

Jeong San Kim

We provide a sufficient condition for the monogamy inequality of multi-party quantum entanglement of arbitrary dimensions in terms of entanglement of formation. Based on the classical-classical-quantum(ccq) states whose quantum parts are obtained from the two-party reduced density matrices of a three-party quantum state, we show the additivity of the mutual information of the ccq states guarantees the monogamy inequality of the three-party pure state in terms of EoF. After illustrating the result with some examples, we generalize our result of three-party systems into any multi-party systems of arbitrary dimensions.

Multipartite monogamy of entanglement for three qubit states

Priyabrata Char, Dipayan Chakraborty, Prabir Kumar Dey +4 more

Abstract The distribution of entanglement in a multiparty system can be described by the principle of monogamy. Monogamy is a fundamental characteristic of entanglement that restricts its distribution among more than two parties. In this work, our aim is to explore how quantum entanglement is distributed in accordance with monogamy relations, which utilize both genuine multipartite entanglement measures and bipartite entanglement measures. Specifically, we treat the source entanglement or the accessible entanglement as genuine multipartite entanglement measures and use the entanglement of formation for bipartite cases. For GHZ class states, we analytically demonstrate that the square of the source entanglement serves as an upper bound for the sum of the squares of the entanglement of formation of the reduced subsystems, with some exceptions in specific non-generic GHZ states. We will also present numerical evidence supporting this result for W-class states. In addition, we also explore the monogamy relationship by using accessible entanglement as an upper bound. Our analysis reveals an opposite but consistent pattern in the behavior of monogamy depending on whether source entanglement or accessible entanglement is used as the upper bound. This pattern emphasizes the dual nature of these two measures.

Investigation of Momogamy Relations and Their Inequalities in Multipartite Quantum Systems

Zahra Feizi Chanaghblaghi

As the quantum entangled states are as a source for many of branches different quantum information theory, such as dense encoding, encryption and teleportation, theoretical study of any relation between the different parts of a entangled quantum state of semi-transparent. One of these relations, inequality monogamy. Although the correlation classical can be freely in the multipartite systems will be shared, the famous that quantum entanglement in this share has restrictions. This restriction on the sharing of entanglement, the famous to monogamy in the multipartite quantum systems. In terms of math, monogamy in the entanglement the first was introduced by Coffman-Kundu-Wootters (CKW) in the three qubit systems. Inequality CKW that obtained for the measure concurrence, mutually unique nature of entanglement two qubits common in the three qubit systems shows. A simple example of the monogamy property can be expressed that the amount of entanglement between A and B to add the amount of entanglement between A and C cannot be greater than the amount of entanglement between A and pair BC. The aim of this thesis reviews the types monogamy inequality defined for the various entangled measures especially measure concurrence.
