Abstract

We propose a novel scheme to generate the entanglement between two cavity optomechanical systems (COMSs) via a flying two-level atom. We derive the analytical expressions for the generated entangled states. We find that there exist two processes for generating entanglement: one is the entanglement transfer between the two phonon-modes, and the other is the entanglement swapping-like process among the two photon-modes and the two phonon-modes. We analyze these two kinds of phenomena, respectively, by adjusting the distance between the two COMSs. Then we discuss the verification of the generated entangled states of the two COMSs, and analyze the decoherence of the generated entangled states. Finally, we discuss the experimental feasibility of our proposal.

Entangling two oscillating mirrors in an optomechanical system via a flying atom

Yu-Bao Zhang, Jun‐Hao Liu, Ya‐Fei Yu +1 more

We propose a novel scheme for generating the entanglement of two oscillating mirrors in an optomechanical system via a flying atom. In this scheme, a two-level atom, in an arbitrary superposition state, passes through an optomechanical system with two oscillating cavity-mirrors, and then its states are detected. In this way, we can generate the entangled states of the two oscillating mirrors. We derive the analytical expressions of the entangled states and make numerical calculations. We find that the entanglement of the two oscillating mirrors can be controlled by the initial state of the atom, the optomechanical coupling strength, and the coupling strength between the atom and the cavity field. We investigate the dynamics of the system with dissipations and discuss the experimental feasibility.

Photon-phonon squeezing and entanglement in a cavity optomechanical system with a flying atom

Jun‐Hao Liu, Yu-Bao Zhang, Ya‐Fei Yu +1 more

We study the quadrature squeezing and entanglement in a cavity optomechanical system (COMS). In our model, a flying atom sequentially passes through and interacts with the COMS and a Ramsey pulse zone, and subsequently the atomic state is detected. In this way, the photon-phonon squeezing and entanglement can be generated. The dynamic evolution of the squeezing and entanglement in the presence of losses are examined by using the master equation method.

Entanglement swapping and teleportation of entangled state processes using optomechanical cavity

Razieh Pakniat, Roohollah Daneshmand, Marziyeh Hassani Nadiki +1 more

Abstract In this study, we present two protocols for entanglement swapping and quantum teleportation using an optomechanical cavity, wherein the moving mirror behaves as an auxiliary mode. The initial state of the system comprises two distinct entangled state pairs: one between atoms 1 and 2 and the other between cavity fields 3 and 4 (which are prepared in an entangled state of number and coherent states). By interacting the atom 2, field 3 and the auxiliary mode of the moving mirror, initially in the ground state ∣0〉 m , inside the optomechanical cavity, and applying the detection method, a tripartite entangled state is generated via entanglement swapping process. As a result, the initial atom 1–atom 2 and also field 3–field 4 entanglements are converted into the tripartite system, atom 1, field 4, and the auxiliary mode. We then evaluate and analyze the influence of the optomechanical coupling coefficient on the significant quantities in the entanglement swapping model, such as the success probability of the detection process, the fidelity, and the linear entropy (as a measure of entanglement). Finally, we demonstrate that the optomechanical cavity can be employed to teleport a bipartite entangled state with perfect fidelity by utilizing a quantum channel in the form of an unknown tripartite entangled state.

Towards quantum entanglement of micromirrors via a two-level atom and radiation pressure

Zhi‐Rong Zhong, Xin Wang, Wei Qin

We propose a method to entangle two vibrating microsize mirrors (i.e., mechanical oscillators) in a cavity optomechanical system. In this scheme, we discuss both the resonant and large-detuning conditions, and show that the entanglement of two mechanical oscillators can be achieved with the assistance of a two-level atom and cavity-radiation pressure. In the resonant case, the operation time is relatively short, which is desirable to minimize the effects of decoherence. While in the large-detuning case, the cavity is only virtually excited during the interaction. Therefore, the decay of the cavity is effectively suppressed, which makes the efficient decoherence time of the cavity to be greatly prolonged. Thus, we observe that this virtual-photon process of microscopic objects may induce the entanglement of macroscopic objects. Moreover, in both cases, the generation of entanglement is deterministic and no measurements on the atom and the cavity are required. These are experimentally important. Finally, the decoherence effect and the experimental feasibility of the proposal are briefly discussed.

Generation of multipartite entangled states based on a double-longitudinal-mode cavity optomechanical system

Xiaomin Liu, Rongguo Yang, Jing Zhang +1 more

An optomechanical system is a promising platform to connect different "notes" of quantum networks. Therefore, entanglements generated from it is also of great importance. In this paper, the parameter dependence of optomechanical and optical-optical entanglements generated from the double-longitudinal-mode cavity optomechanical system are discussed and two quadrapartite entanglement generation schemes based on such a system are proposed. Furthermore, 2N and 4N-partite entangled states of optical modes can be obtained by coupling N cavities that used in the above two schemes with N-1 beamsplitters, respectively. Certain ladder or linear entanglement structures are included in the finally obtained entangled state, which are important for its application in one-way quantum computing.

Generation and Transfer Of The Entanglement State With Photon Blockade In Optomechanical Systems

Somayeh Shakeri, Z. Mahmoudi, Alireza Bahrampour

The effective Hamiltonian of the optmechanical systems is similar to one that describes the interaction between a classical driving field and a single trapped cold ion. In this paper, by using this idea, generation and transfer of the entanglement state is investigated. In optomechanical systems with one and two membranes inside the cavity and in the Lamb-Dick approximation, with selecting mode the state transfer and the generation of two mode squeezed state between two membranes is considered. Also, the measure of entanglement in interaction to the thermal phonons and damping rate of cavity is computed. In this paper we try to describe our experimental or theoretical results.
