Abstract

By making use of thermo-field dynamics(TFD),we construct the thermal Kerr states with finite temperature. We investigate the quantum statistical properties of these states and their dependence on temperature. We discuss the fluctuations of amplitude in these states and squeezing. We also introduce the definition of thermosqueezing for thermalized states and discuss the effect of temperature on thermosqueezing for thermal Kerr states.

HIGHER ORDER FLUCTUATIONS IN COHERENT STATES AND SQUEEZED STATES WITH THERMAL NOISE

H. Huan

Abstract By making use of thermo field dynamics(TFD),higher order fluctuations and higher order squeezing of quadrature components for coherent states and squeezed states with thermal noise have been studied. The higher order fluctuations of the phase for these thermalized states have been investigated using the concept of measured phase operators. Thus the dependence of the lower and higher order fluctuations and squeezing on temperature in these states at finite temperature can be seen.It is significant to discuss the effect of temperature on the fluctuations and squeezing, since the states of real field are always at finite temperatures.

Coherent and thermal coherent state

A. Mann, M. Revzen, Kazutaka G. Nakamura +2 more

The characterization of coherent states as the quantum states that split into two uncorrelated beams is considered. The characterization leads to the study of coherent states at finite temperature—thermal coherent states (TCS’s). These TCS’s are defined within the formalism of thermo field dynamics (TFD). TFD allows a generalization of the uncertainty relation that accounts for both thermal and quantum fluctuations. The TCS is shown to be a minimal state for the generalized uncertainty relation.

SQUEEZED STATES AND UNCERTAINTY RELATION AT FINITE TEMPERATURE

B. L. Hu, YUHONG ZHANG

We use the quantum Brownian model to derive the uncertainty relation for a quantum open system in an arbitrarily-squeezed initial state interacting with an environment at finite temperature. We examine the relative importance of the quantum and thermal fluctuations in the evolution of the system towards equilibrium with the aim of clarifying the meaning of quantum, classical and thermal. We show that upon contact with the bath the system evolves from a quantum-dominated state to a thermal-dominated state in a time which is the same as the decoherence time calculated before in the context of quantum to classical transitions. We also use these results to deduce the conditions when the two basic postulates of quantum statistical mechanics become valid.

QUANTUM FLUCTUATION OF TWO-MODE SQUEEZED THERMAL VACUUM STATES AND THE THERMAL WIGNER OPERATOR STUDIED BY VIRTUE OF <η| REPRESENTATION

Hong-Yi Fan, Hui Wang

Based on the <η| representation in Thermo Field Dynamics3 we introduce the thermal Wigner operator, with which we reach the conclusion that due to the thermal effect the quantum fluctuation of two-mode squeezed vacuum state increases by a factor cosh 2θ, where tanh θ = exp (-ℏω/2kT). We also mathematically analyse the formalism of Thermo Field Dynamics in the context of entanglement theory.

Quantum fluctuations of a mesoscopic RLC electric circuit in thermal coherent states and thermal squeezed states

Zhongqing Wang

By thermo-field dynamics (TFD), we study the quantum fluctuations of charge and magnetic flux of a mesoscopic circuit including resistor, inductor and capacitor (RLC) in coherent states and squeezed states at finite temperature. It is shown that the fluctuations of charge and magnetic flux depend on not only the parameters of the circuit components but also the environmental temperature and squeezing parameters, while the fluctuations don't depend on displacement parameters.
