Theoretical Analysis of a Possible Method to Quantum Communication of Exceed Velocity of Light

Abstract

If the projection of two photon entangled state in two orthogonal state basis are not equal, the direction of observation of one photon would have influence on the probability distribution of the polarization state of the other photon, which affects the statistical results of a large number of photons. non-local communication can be realized with this method. To get these type of two photon entangled state, this paper designs a method: put the calcium atoms in strong magnetic field.According to the Zeeman effect, calcium atoms would have energy level splitting. Then if the angle between the direction of observation and magnetic field is acute angle, the π light of the calcium atoms’ cascade radiation from 4p2 1S0→4s4p 1P1→4s1 1S0 would meet the requirement. Thus we demonstrate the method of non fixed domain transfer information is feasible.

Information transfer by entangled photons without auxiliary non-quantum channel

Levente Szabó, Pál Andor Maák

In this paper we present a theoretical analysis of the faster than light communication possibility based on entangled photons. We analyze designs that may be capable to solve the problem of direct information transfer between members of an entangled photon pairs. We consider that experimental verifications can confirm or even refute this. Our hypothesis was that most proofs of the nocommunication theorem are based on a certain set of conditions, and it is possible to provide a broader set of conditions that allow the establishment of entangled states as quantum information channels, without using a classical channel. One basic unit of the proposed design transforms the polarization state of one member of an entangled photon pair into a spatial superposition state. Thus, after the polarization measurement performed on one member, which eliminates the entanglement, the quantum information is maintained in the spatial superposition state of the other member. This can be recovered by a particular measurement based on spatial interference. We have shown that solutions with so-called symmetric functions lead to average results that corresponds to the nocommunication theorem. However, using asymmetric functions the averaged measurement results calculated in a prescribed time window can distinguish the types of measurements performed on the other member of the pair. This can establish a communication code that enables faster-than-light information sharing under specific conditions. There may be also further theoretical consequences: a significant extension of the quantum mechanical nonlocality principle.

The Generation and Exchange of Entanglement via Zeeman Effect

Jianda Wu, Jian-lan Chen, Zhang, Yong-de

In this paper we show a new way to generate entanglement via two identical three-level atoms splitting in the magnetic field interacting with the cavity field. By the system we investigate, We can acquire the EPR state, multi-dimensional entangled states etc. which are more stable than usual realization by high-energy-level Rydberg atoms and we can realize the local exchange operator too. We also achieve the goal of maintaining long- time entanglement between atoms. At last, by using the procedure of local exchange, we put forward an experimental scheme for quantum feedback.

Deterministic Quantum Key Distribution Using Two Non-orthogonal Entangled States

Ying Guo, Zeng Gui-Hua

A deterministic quantum key distribution scheme using two non-orthogonal entangled states is proposed. In the proposed scheme, communicators share key information by exchanging one travelling photon with two random and secret polarization angles. The security of the distributed key is guaranteed by three checking phases in three-way channel and the communicators' secret polarization angles.

Effect of squeezed light on the photon-number probability distribution and sub-Poissonian distribution in the cascade three-level Jaynes-Cummings model

Lu-Bi Deng, Songen Sun

Quantum-statistical properties such as the photon-number probability distribution and sub-Poissonian distribution are studied by considering the resonant interaction of two radiation fields, one of which is in a squeezed state with a cascade-structure three-level atom. It is noteworthy to emphasize that the direction of squeezing, i.e., the angle \ensuremath{\theta}, and the squeezing parameter r as well as the initial atomic state play important roles in the determination of the nonclassical behavior of the radiation field. At the same time we give a possible explanation for the effect of the ratio of the intensity of the two fields on the quantum-statistical properties.

Transferring atomic entangled states with a nonresonant atom-field interaction

Xia-Ping Jiang

A scheme is proposed for transferring two-atom entangled state and W state. It is based on the simultaneous nonresonant interaction of two atoms with a single-mode cavity field.During the transferring process, the atoms do not transfer quantum information with the cavity. The cavity is only virtually excited and thus the requirement on the quality factor of the cavity is greatly loosened.Atomic entangled state can be directly transferred to the atoms of receiver without performing any measurement. The successful probability is 100 percent.

Deceleration, trapping, and two-photon cooling of calcium atoms

Reinaldo L. Cavasso Filho, Wictor C. Magno, Daniela A. Manoel +3 more

We report on a system for atomic beam deceleration and magneto-optical trapping of calcium atoms that uses the 1S0–1P1 transition, in which a single laser is used to trap and slow the atoms. The slower laser beam is focused near the magneto-optical trap’s center, which has a waist size much smaller than the atomic cloud such that its influence on the trapped atoms is greatly reduced. We also investigate the theoretical possibility of cooling by use of a two-photon (4s2)1S0–(4s5s)1S0 transition. Excitation near resonance with the 1P1 level results in an equilibrium temperature seven times smaller than the Doppler limit of the 1S0–1P1 transition.
