Abstract

In this paper we show a new way to generate entanglement via two identical three-level atoms splitting in the magnetic field interacting with the cavity field. By the system we investigate, We can acquire the EPR state, multi-dimensional entangled states etc. which are more stable than usual realization by high-energy-level Rydberg atoms and we can realize the local exchange operator too. We also achieve the goal of maintaining long- time entanglement between atoms. At last, by using the procedure of local exchange, we put forward an experimental scheme for quantum feedback.

Entanglement swapping between atom and cavity and generation of entangled state of cavity fields

Ai-Xi Chen, Li Deng

This paper proposes a scheme where entanglement swapping between atom and cavity can be realized. Λ-type three-level atoms interacting resonantly with cavity field are considered. By detecting atom and cavity field, it realizes entanglement swapping between atom and cavity. It uses the technique of entanglement swapping to generate an entangled state of two cavity fields by measuring on atoms. It discusses the experimental feasibility of the proposed scheme and application of entangled state of cavity fields.

Generation of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Pairs of Atoms

E. W. Hagley, Xavier Maı̂tre, Gilles Nogues +4 more

Pairs of atoms have been prepared in an entangled state of the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) type. They were produced by the exchange of a single photon between the atoms in a high $Q$ cavity. The atoms, entangled in a superposition involving two different circular Rydberg states, were separated by a distance of the order of 1 cm. At variance with most previous EPR experiments, this one involves massive particles. It can be generalized to three or more atoms and opens the way to new tests of nonlocality in mesoscopic quantum systems.

Generation of states maximally entanglement (EPR states) by passing two atoms through two coupled cavities

B. F. C. Yabu-uti, Fabiano Kenji Nohama, José Antonio Roversi +2 more

We present the results of the interaction of identical two‐level atoms with a system formed by two identical coupled cavities via evanescent field. With new bosonic operators (normal nodes), the interaction Hamiltonian between the cavities can be diagonalized. In a particular case, we can eliminate the interaction of the atoms with the nonresonant normal modes reducing the system to the interaction of the atom with a single‐mode (like JCM). As an application of this interaction, we analyze the entanglement between distant atoms. We present two related simple procedures to generate two atoms maximally entangled state (EPR pair) interacting (i)successively (atoms passing through the cavities at different moments) and (ii) simultaneously (at the same time) with the coupled cavities system. Moreover, in contrast with other schemes, we can use identical atoms which simplifies in a experiment point of view.

Generation of three-dimensional entanglement between two antiblockade Rydberg atoms with detuning-compensation-induced effective resonance

Cong Wang, Jin‐Xuan Han, Jin‐Lei Wu +4 more

Abstract We propose a scheme for generating the three-dimensional (3D) entanglement between two Rydberg atoms. Two laser fields are imposed to drive two transitions of each atom. The Rydberg antiblockade is induced through the suitable choice of the relation among parameters. We propose to offset Stark shifts by introducing detuning compensation so as to induce an effective resonant three-level system concluding two collective ground states and the double-excitation state, instead of introducing the complicated auxiliary levels and laser fields. Four 3D entangled states are calculated out, and numerical simulations show that the high-fidelity 3D entanglement can be generated. The effect of the spontaneous radiations of the Rydberg states on the generation of the 3D entanglement is analyzed. In addition, we show the numerical search algorithm so as to get optimized parameters for shortening operation time and thus decreasing the decoherence accumulation.

High-Speed Generation of Entangled States for Two Three-Level Atoms

Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is presented for generating entangled states for two three-level atoms in a cavity. In the scheme two atoms simultaneously interact with a cavity mode with a small detuning. Thus, the operation time is very short, which is important in view of decoherence.

A Cavity-QED Scheme for Generating Long-Lived Maximally Entangled States

Shao-Hua Xiang, Shao Bin, Kehui Song +1 more

We propose a potentially practical scheme to generate two-atom maximally entangled states by the large-detuning interaction between two three-level Λ-type atoms and coherent optical fields. Conditioned on the results of detecting cavity field, four pairs of atomic maximally entangled states with unity fidelity and high successful probability can be prepared. We also investigate the influence of the cavity dissipation on the generated entangled states and discuss the experimental feasibility of our scheme.
