Secrecy rate optimization for SWIPT in two‐way relay networks with multiple untrusted relays and channel estimation errors

Dayong Yang, Mo Zhang, Biao Wan +1 more

Abstract The secrecy rate of two‐way untrusted relay networks with imperfect channel state information based on SWIPT is investigated when multiple relays harvest energy from two sources. Despite assisting in information forwarding, the relays are considered untrusted in that they might attempt to eavesdrop on confidential information. To interfere with eavesdropping by untrusted relays, sources‐based friendly cooperative jamming is introduced. A joint power allocation and time switching strategy has been studied to maximize the sum secrecy rate of the system under total block transmission duration and power constraints. The genetic algorithm (GA) is introduced to optimize the proposed joint power allocation and time switching (JPTs) scheme. In addition, two suboptimal schemes are proposed: the power allocation and time switching scheme for individual power constraints and the power allocation scheme for equal time allocation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed joint power allocation and time switching strategy performs better in contributing to the total secrecy rate of the system.

Secure Power Allocation of Two-Way Relaying with an Untrusted Denoise-and-Forward Relay

Ruifeng Gao, Xiaodong Ji, Ye Li +2 more

This paper proposes an secure transmit power allocation (STPA) scheme for a two-way denoise-and-forward (DNF) relaying network with the aim of maximizing the secrecy sum rate of the network. Here, the DNF relay could act not only as a forwarder but also a potential eavesdropper, i.e., an untrusted relay. First, the secure-rate-region of the two sources that their messages can be strictly kept secret is derived from an information theory point of view. On this basis, an optimal power allocation problem subject to an individual peak-power limit is studied, giving closed-form expressions of the individual transmit powers than can maximize the network secrecy sum rate. Computer simulation results show that compared with the conventional equal-power allocation scheme, the proposed STPA scheme is capable of enhancing the secrecy sum rate and reducing the intercept probability simultaneously.

Power Allocation Scheme for Physical-Layer Security of Two-Way Untrusted Relay in SCMA networks

Zhiqiang Li, Shuai Han, Xiao Wang

With the rapid development of electronic technology, secure communication has been widely used in the whole modern telecommunication system, and security has become an important measure of communication quality. With the improvement of communication quality and the increase of communication distance, the secrecy capacity of communication system with relay has been studied extensively. However, in the case of a large number of users, less frequency resources and limited power, there is little research on how to control the power and improve the secrecy capacity as much as possible. In this case, based on the Sparse Code Multiple Access (SCMA) network model, this paper analyses the relationship between the security capacity and the number of users, the power allocation of users and the power allocation of cooperative interference in the two-way uncertain relay system, and gives the power allocation scheme of user-to-user and cooperative interference. The superiority of the power allocation scheme proposed in this paper has been proved by simulation results, and it has great practical value.
