Abstract

Considering the bidirectional diode in a mesoscopic circuit, the paper investigates the quantum dynamic behavior of the current in a nonlinear mesoscopic circuit. The results indicate that the time evolution of current shows collapse-and-revival phenomenon in the nonlinear mesoscopic electronic circuit. And the conclusions are discussed furthur according to the parameter in nonlinear mesoscopic circuit.

COLLAPSE AND REVIVAL EFFECT IN A MESOSCOPIC LC CIRCUIT

Haimei Luo, Yinghua Ji, Jie Liu

This paper studied the time evolution of quantum state in a mesoscopic LC circuit with the coupling energy caused by mesoscopic capacitor acting as a tunnel junction. It indicates that the state of the junction evolves into the quantum superposition of two coherent states and, in the state, nonclassical squeezing properties of the circuit appear. It also indicates that the dynamic behavior of the current shows collapse and revival phenomenon. The research in the paper will be helpful to miniaturize integrate circuits and electric components. It will be also important for the utilization of mesoscopic circuits to evolve the quantum states, which work as information carriers.

Shao Bin, Zou Jian, Xing Xiu-San

Dynamic behavior of the supercurrent in a mesoscopic Josephson junction in the presence of a nonclassical electromagnetic field is investigated. It is shown that for the squeezed state the time evolution of the supercurrent can exhibit quantum collapse and revival phenomenon, while for the coherent state the phenomenon does not occur.

In this paper, the nonlinear mesoscopic circuit in the presence of a power was treated quantummechanically. The results indicated that the quantum state of the nonlinear mesoscopic circuit will been evolved into the superposition state of coherent state from the initial vacuum state due to the nonlinear bidirectional diode device and the external electrical source. Then we brought forward a preparation method of superposition state of coherent state in the nonlinear mesoscopic circuit.

Dynamic behavior of the supercurrent in mesoscopic Josephson junctions in the presence of a nonclassical electromagnetic field

Zou Jian, Shao Bin, Xing Xiu-San

The dynamic behavior of the supercurrent in mesoscopic Josephson junctions interacting with various nonclassical electromagnetic fields (NEMF) is investigated. It is shown that for squeezed number states, squeezed states, and a superposition of two coherent states, the supercurrent exhibits a collapse and revival (CR) phenomenon that is well known in the context of quantum optics. For coherent states and number states, this phenomenon does not occur. This CR phenomenon, which is due to the granular nature of the field, is also absent if the field is considered classically. The dynamic behavior of the supercurrent fluctuation is also studied and it is found that, generally, when the fluctuation is large, the supercurrent exhibits collapses, and, when the fluctuation is small, the supercurrent exhibits revivals. Finally, the amplitude of current-voltage steps for various NEMF's are studied in some detail.

DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF SUPERCURRENT IN MESOSCOPIC JOSEPHSON JUNCTION INTERACTING WITH CORRELATED TWO MODE SU(1,1) COHERENT STATES OF QUANTUM ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD

ZOU JIAN, SHAO BIN, Xing Xiu-San +1 more

The dynamic behaviors of supercurrent in mesoscopic Josephson junction in the presence of a dc bias voltage V0-and of correlated two-mode SU(1,1) coherent states of quantum electromagnetic field, as well as current-voltage steps and Shapiro dc current, are investigated. It is shown that the time evolution of supercurrent exhibits collapse and revival phenomenon, but for non-correlated two-mode coherent states it does not exhibit such a phenomenon. And the current-voltage steps of correlated two-mode SU(1,1) coherent states of quantum electromagnetic field are different from that of classical electromagnetic field and that of non correlated two-mode coherent states.
