Abstract

A scheme for remote information concentration via a five-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger entangled(GHZ) state is proposed. In this scheme, the GHZ state serves not only the control parameter but also the quantum channel. The receiver can successfully reconstruct the quantum information of a single qubit state, which has been distributed into three spatially separated qubits, depending on the cooperation of a controller without any global operations. This scheme can also be generalized to the case with nspatially separated controllers via an(n+4)-qubit GHZ state.

Remote preparation of a Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger state via a two-particle entangled state

Lin Xiu, Hongcai Li, Xiu‐Min Lin +2 more

We present two schemes for realizing the remote preparation of a Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state. The first scheme is to remotely prepare a general N -particle GHZ state with two steps. One is to prepare a qubit state by using finite classical bits from sender to receiver via a two-particle entangled state, and the other is that the receiver introduces N — 1 additional particles and performs N — 1 controlled-not (C-Not) operations. The second scheme is to remotely prepare an N -atom GHZ state via a two-atom entangled state in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). The two schemes require only a two-particle entangled state used as a quantum channel, so we reduce the requirement for entanglement.

Combined and controlled remote implementations of partially unknown quantum operations of multiqubits using Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states

An Min Wang

We propose and prove protocols of combined and controlled remote implementations of partially unknown quantum operations belonging to the restricted sets [A. M. Wang, Phys. Rev. A 74, 032317 (2006)] using Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states. We present the protocols in detail in the cases of one qubit, with two senders and with one controller, respectively. Then we study the variations of protocols with many senders, or with many controllers, or with both many senders and controllers using a multipartite GHZ state. Furthermore, we extend these protocols to the cases of multiqubits. Because our protocols have to request that the senders work together and transfer the information in turn or receive the repertoire of extra supercontrollers, or/and the controller(s) open the quantum channel and distribute the passwords in different ways, they definitely have the strong security in remote quantum information processing and communications. Moreover, the combined protocol with many senders is helpful to arrive at the power of remote implementations of quantum operations to the utmost extent in theory, since the different senders may have different operational resources and different operational rights in practice, and the controlled protocol with many controllers is able to enhance security and increase applications of remote implementations of quantum operations in engineering, since it has some common features in a controlled process.

Remote information concentration by a Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state and by a bound entangled state

Ya‐Fei Yu, Jian Feng, Mingsheng Zhan

We compare remote quantum information concentration by a Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state with an unlockable bound entangled state. We find that in view of communication security the bound entangled state works better than the GHZ state.

Controlled Teleportation of an Arbitrary Multi-Qudit State in a General Form with d -Dimensional Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger States

Xihan Li, Deng Fu-Guo, Hong-Yu Zhou

A general scheme for controlled teleportation of an arbitrary multi-qudit state with d -dimensional Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) states is proposed. For an arbitrary m -qudit state, the sender Alice performs m generalized Bell-state projective measurements on her 2 m qudits and the controllers need only take some single-particle measurements. The receiver Charlie can reconstruct the unknown m -qudit state by performing some single-qudit unitary operations on her particles if she cooperates with all the controllers. As the quantum channel is a sequence of maximally entangled GHZ states, the intrinsic efficiency for qudits in this scheme approaches 100% in principle.

Remote preparation of a class of three-qubit entangled states

Dong Wang

A remote state preparation(RSP) scheme of a three-qubit Greenberger Horne Zeilinger(GHZ) class state was proposed by using three two-qubit maximally entangled states as the quantum channel. The success probability of preparation and classical communication cost were calculated.Generally speaking, according to Alice's classical message, with probability 1/4 Bob could successfully prepare the GHZ state. However, for three kinds of special states, the success probability of preparation could be increased to 1.0 after consuming some extra bits. Then the scheme was deterministic.

Controlled Remote Preparation of a Two-Qubit State via an Asymmetric Quantum Channel

Zhang-Yin Wang

I present a new scheme for probabilistic remote preparation of a general two-qubit state from a sender to either of two receivers. The quantum channel is composed of a partial entangled tripartite Greenberger—Horne—Zeilinger (GHZ) state and a W-type state. I try to realize the remote two-qubit preparation by using the usual projective measurement and the method of positive operator-valued measure, respectively. The corresponding success probabilities of the scheme with different methods as well as the total classical communication cost required in this scheme are also calculated.
