Abstract

WT5”BZ]:The properties of the two order and higher order squeezing of phase in Kerr even and odd coherent states have been discussed via the measured phase operator introduced by S.M.Barnett and D.T.Pegg.The results exhibit that the measured phase operator cos M has not only periodic k order squeezing in cs type in even and odd coherent states but the k order squeezing in the type of cN when k is even. They also show that the degree of squeezing is relevant with |α| 2.When |α| 2 is comparatively big,the squeezing in Kerr even coherent states resembles that in Kerr odd coherent states.Nevertheless, when |α| 2 is small, the squeezing in Kerr odd coherent states appears shallow, even no squeezing effect occurs. Squeezing Properties of Measured Phase Operators in Generalized KerrEven and Odd Coherent States

Xiuzhang Wang

The properties of the two-order and high-order squeezing of phase in generalized Kerr even and odd coherent states have been studied via the measured phase operators introduced by S. M. Barnett and D. T. Pegg. The influences of nonlinear order m of generalized Kerr-medium on squeezing of measured phase operarors have been discussed emphatically. It is shown that the measured phase operator has periodic even-order squeezing in the CS type and di-even-order squeezing in CN type ,in all even and odd coherent states, and the degree of squeezing is relevant to m, |α|2 and δ.

The properties of the phase squeezing in even and odd coherent states of a finite-dimensional Hibert space have been studied via the measured phase operators introduced by Barnett S M and Pegg D T.The influences of dimensional size of Hilbert space on squeezing of measured phase operarors have been discussed emphatically. It is shown that the cos mφ has squeezing in the CS type in even coherent states, and the degree of squeezing is relevant to s,|α|2 and δ.

Squeezing Properties of Measurement Phase Operator in a New Kind of Even and Odd Nonlinear Coherent States

Kong Li-jing

The spueezing properties in a new kind of even and odd nonlinear coherent states are discussed via the measurement phase operators introduced by Barnett S M and Pegg D T. It is found that there are only a kind of CS squeezing but there are not CN and SN squeezing. Using the numerical calculation, we studied the squeezing properties of CS. It is shown that the CS squeezing properties of the even and odd nonlinear coherent states are different from those of usual even and odd coherent states. Squeezing exists for the new even nonlinear coherent states in the wide range, while small range for the new odd nonlinear coherent states.

Properties of the Measured Phase Operators in the Squeezed Number States

Hsi-teh Tu, Chang-De Gong

The phase properties of the squeezed number states have been studied from the lower order to the higher order via the measured phase operators (MPO) introduced by Barnett and Pegg and compared with those obtained via the Hermitian and Susskind-Glogower phase operators. We have found many new, interesting results. For the lower order, the phase fluctuations of the MPO are exactly independent of the photon number n. For the higher order, the corresponding fluctuations are a decreasing function of n.
