Abstract

Considering two two-level atoms(A and B) initially in the EPR state,we put atom B into one cavity that is prepared in a superposition of a zero and a single photon Fock state. When atom B flies out of the cavity,we make an arbitrary state measurement on it.The dipole squeezing of atom A can be controlled via choosing appropriate superposition state of the initial cavity field and evolution time.

Controlling dipole squeezing of entangled atoms via superposition coherent state field

Zhihua Liu

Considering two two-level atoms (A and B) initially in the EPR state, atom B is put into one cavity prepared in coherent superposition state. When atom B flies out of the cavity,an arbitrary state measurement is carried out on it.The law about the effects on the dipole of atoms A exerted by light field intensity and superposition coefficients is obtained, and the result also shows that the dipole squeezing of atoms A can be achieved under certain conditions.

Controlling dipole squeezing of two atoms inside a cavity via manipulating an atom outside the cavity

Tang-Kun Liu, Ji‐Suo Wang, Jian Feng +1 more

Considering that three two-level atoms are initially in the GHZ single state and two of the atoms are simultaneously put into a cavity initially in the coherent state, we investigate the dipole squeezing properties of the two atoms inside the cavity under the condition of resonant interaction. It is shown that dipole squeezing properties of the two atoms inside the cavity are strongly affected by rotation manipulating of the atom outside the cavity.

Photon-number-state generation with a single two-level atom in a cavity: a proposal

P. Domokos, M. Brune, J. M. Raimond +2 more

A single two-level atom can be used to prepare an arbitrary photon number state (Fock state) in a high Q cavity . The atom undergoes a controlled succession of interactions with two cavity modes. One of them contains a coherent field. The atom transfers photons one by one from this field to the initially empty second mode. The scheme can be extended to prepare a quantum superposition of the vacuum with a Fock state, a highly non-classical situation. We discuss the feasibility of the experiment with our present Rydberg-atom cavity QED set-up.

Dynamical properties of two atoms in Bell states in a cavity

Zhuo‐Liang Cao

The time-evolution characterizations of the population and dipole squeezing of two-level entangled atoms in Bell states interacting resonantly with a single-mode cavity field in the Fock state were presented. The results show that Bell states composed of two identical atoms can be partially distinguished.

Remotely controlling the non-local three-atom system quantum character in the Tavis-Cummings model

Han Feng, Xia Yun

We use quantum theory and numerical method to study the non-local three-atom system quantum characteristic. The initial state of the three-atom system is on the three-body entangled W state, and the two atoms A,B can interact resonantly with a single-mode field in the coherent state.During the course of Cavity-QED evolution of the total system,we make Bell measurements to the atoms A and B. Through operating the intensity of the coherent field and the dipole-dipole coupling interaction between atoms A and B,we can control the atomic occupancy of atom C outside of the cavity. After taking photon detection to the coherent field,we can control C atomic dipole squeezing through manipulating the evolution time, the number of the detected photons, the parameter of coherent field and the dipole-dipole coupling interaction between atoms A and B So we are easy to remotely control the quantum character of the atom outside of the coherent cavity.
