A Universal Cloning Machine of Atomic State via Nonresonant Jaynes-Cummings model

Abstract

A scheme for implementing a universal 1→2 quantum cloning machine is proposed. The process of the cloner is achieved through the nonresonant Jaynes-Cummings model of atoms simultaneously interacting with single-mode cavity field in the vacuum state. The proposed scheme only requires three single-mode cavity fields and one classical field, thus it is easier to be realized in experiment by using cavity QED technique. The experimental feasibility of the proposed scheme is also discussed.

Scheme for the implementation of a universal quantum cloning machine via cavity-assisted atomic collisions in cavity QED

We propose a scheme to implement the $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{1}2$ universal quantum cloning machine of Buzek and Hillery [Phys. Rev. A $54,$ 1844 (1996)] in the context of cavity QED. The scheme requires cavity-assisted collision processes between atoms, which cross through nonresonant cavity fields in the vacuum states. The cavity fields are only virtually excited to face the decoherence problem. That's why the requirements on the cavity quality factor can be loosened.

Scheme for Implementing Quantum Cloning Restoring Machine in Cavity QED

Long-Bao Yu, Wen‐Hai Zhang, Ye Liu

We propose an experimentally feasible scheme for implementing quantum restoring machine of the optimal universal 1→2 quantum cloning machine in the context of cavity QED. In our scheme, two atoms (the clones) simultaneously interact with a cavity field, and meanwhile they are driven by a classical field. Then an arbitrary unknown input state can be restored in the ancilla by applying appropriate unitary local operation.

A scheme to implement of 1 → 3 economic phase-covariant cloning machine for unknown equator state in cavity-QED is proposed. The scheme requires cavity-assisted collision processes between atoms, which cross through nonresonant cavity fields in the vacuum states. The cavity fields are only virtually excited so that the cavity quality factor can be loosened.

Realization of the Unified Quantum Cloning Machine Based on cavity QED

Based on cavity QED, we first propose the unified scheme to implement the 1→2 optimal universal quantum cloning machine for arbitrary input state, the asymmetric 1→2 phase-covariant cloning and the 1→3 optimal asymmetric economical phase-covariant quantum cloning machine for the equatorial input state. During the cloning process, due to atoms interacting with a highly detuned cavity mode, thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay and thermal field.

Generation of Three-Atom W State via Nonresonant Jaynes-Cummings Model

Deng-Yu Zhang, Xin-Wen Wang, Shi-Qing Tang +1 more

A simple scheme is presented for generating three-atom W state via nonresonant Jaynes-Cummings model. In the proposed protocol, it is injected two two-level atom initially prepared in the excited state and ground state through the cavity prepared in the vacuum state. The third two-level atom is prepared in the ground state and three two-level atom are injected into the second cavity prepared in the vacuum state. The experiment of the proposed scheme is feasible.

Optimal universal and phase-covariant quantum cloning machines with quantum-dot spins in cavity QED

Ai‐Dong Zhu, Kyu-Hwang Yeon, Seong‐Cho Yu

Schemes for implementing a 1 ? 2 optimal universal quantum cloning machine (UQCM) and a 1 ? 3 ancilla-free optimal phase-covariant quantum cloning machine (PCCM) are proposed by manipulating the transverse spin?spin interactions of quantum dots mediated by a vacuum single-mode cavity. The interactions among different quantum dots are selectively controlled by the classical laser fields. These quantum cloning machines are more robust due to the very long spin decoherence time of quantum dots. Furthermore, the experimental implementation is simplified in comparison with those using atoms as qubits. The quantum dots are embedded in the cavity simultaneously; hence the troubles caused by the qubits passing through multiple cavities are effectively avoided.
