Abstract

This paper has studied two kinds of entangled coherent states with symmetry in phase space. It is proved that their entanglements have relations with the strength or relative phase factors of two two-mode coherent states. Some formulas for evaluating entanglements of these entangled coherent states are derived. Finally, some possible way for improving their entanglements are proposed.

Entangled coherent states in symmetry phase spaceand their nonclassical effects

Xiaoyan Zhang, Ji‐Suo Wang

We discuss the entangled coherent states in symmetry phase space by introducing orthogonal basis, calculate their entanglement by means of concurrence, and investigate their squeezing effects of single-mode and two-mode and antibunching effects. The calculations indicate that the entangled coherent state in symmetry phase space is closely related to nonclassical effect.

TWO-MODE ENTANGLEMENT VIA SUPERPOSITIONS OF TWO-MODE COHERENT STATES

Yunxia Ping, BO ZHANG, Ze Cheng +1 more

Two-mode entanglement of superposition states from several two-mode coherent states is investigated according to the entanglement criterion.9 The dependence of entanglement on relative phase angle, coherent amplitude of each mode and phase angle is discussed. It is shown that under certain conditions the superposition states can exhibit entanglement properties.

ON THE NONLOCALITY OF TWO KINDS OF ENTANGLED COHERENT STATES

Gong Ren-shan

By using the criterion for violating Bell-CHSH inequality proposed by Horodecki,we have studied the quantum nonlocality of two kinds of entangled coherent states. Some formulas for evaluating the maximal expectation values of Bell-CHSH type operators of these entangled coherent states are derived. It is shown that the quantum nonlocality has relations with the strength and phase of coherent state. When some relations of the strength and phase are satisfied the nonlocality of entangled coherent states may disappear.

Entanglement between total intensity and polarization for pairs of coherent states

Carlos Sanchidrián-Vaca, Alfredo Luis

We examine entanglement between number and polarization, or number and relative phase, in pair coherent states and two-mode squeezed vacuum via linear entropy and covariance criteria. We consider the embedding of the two-mode Hilbert space in a larger space to get a well-defined factorization of the number-phase variables. This can be regarded as a kind of protoentanglement that can be extracted and converted into real particle entanglement via feasible experimental procedures. In particular this reveals interesting entanglement properties of pairs of coherent states.

QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT IN THE SYSTEM OF ATOMS IN BELL STATE INTERACTING WITH THE TWO-MODE ODD–EVEN ENTANGLED COHERENT FIELD

Zou Yan

We studied the entanglement properties of the system consisting of two atoms in Bell states interacting with the two-mode odd-even entangled coherent field by utilizing the complete quantum theory. The influences of the initial Bell state of the atoms, the intensity of field, the coupling strength of interaction between atoms and the initial degree of the entanglement between the two-mode fields on the atomic entropy and on negativity are discussed by using numerical calculations. It turns out that the two atoms can keep their initial maximal entangled state while the two-atom and the two-mode field keep their initial disentangled state if the two atoms are initially in |β11〉. Therefore, for the initial atomic state |β00〉 or |β01〉, the increasing of the field intensity can be a help to prepare the atom-field entanglement, and for |β10〉, it is beneficial for the atom–atom entanglement. Meanwhile, for the initial atomic state |β10〉 and |β01〉, strong coupling strength of interaction between atoms is beneficial for the atom–atom entanglement, but for |β00〉, it can be helpful for the atom-field entanglement.

ENTANGLEMENT BOUNDS FOR A FAMILY OF TWO-MODE GAUSSIAN STATES

Li-zhen Jiang

I study a family of bipartite quantum Gaussian states with three parameters, calculate Gaussian entanglement of formation analytically and the upper bound of relative entropy of entanglement, compare them with the coherent information of the states. Based on the numerical observation, I determine the relative entropy of entanglement and distillable entanglement of the states with infinitive squeezing.
