Abstract

By founding multiphoton Janes-Cumming model of a two-level atom interacting with photon-added coherent light, the atomic inversion is studied with using the technique of numerical simulation when the photon-added number m changes(m≤2).And the squeezing effect of two quadrature components of the atomic dipole is discussed. The result shows that the revival-collapse phenomenon appearing in the evolution of atomic inversion presents periodicity with the number m increasing;and the squeezing phenomena of atomic dipole moment have been generated when m=1,2.

Properties of the population inversion of two-level atomic mixed-state in the multiphoton anti-Jaynes-Cummings model

Dong Zhang

When single mode coherent light field interacts with two-level atomic mixed-state,the properties of the atomic population inversion is studied by means of the multi-photon anti-Jaynes-Cummings model. The influence for the parameters of average photon number of the coherent light field, transition photon number and mixing extent of the atomic initial state on the atomic population inversion has been discussed. The results show that the collapse and revival phenomena of periodicity will also appear in the two-level atomic population inversion. With the increasing of the average photon number of the coherent light field and the transition photon number, the revival period and attenuation time of collapse will change. With the increase of the average photon number of the coherent light field, the oscillation frequency of the atomic population inversion increases correspondingly. The revival period and attenuation time of collapse will not change, but the oscillation amplitude of the atomic population inversion will be increase as the decreasing of mixing extent of the atomic initial state.

Revival-collapse phenomenon in the quadrature squeezing of the multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model with the binomial states

Faisal A. A. El-Orany

In this paper we study the interaction between two-level atom and quantized single-mode field, namely, Jaynes-Cummings model (JCM). The field and the atom are initially prepared in the binomial state and the excited atomic state, respectively. For this system we prove that the revival-collapse phenomenon exhibited in the atomic inversion of the standard JCM can be numerically (naturally) manifested in the evolution of the squeezing factor of the three-photon (standard) JCM provided that the initial photon-number distribution of the radiation has a smooth envelope.

The revival–collapse phenomenon in the quadrature field components of the two-mode multiphoton Jaynes–Cummings model

Faisal A. A. El-Orany

In this paper we consider a system consisting of a two-level atom in an excited state interacting with two modes of a radiation field prepared initially in l -photon coherent states. This system is described by a two-mode multiphoton (i.e., k 1 , k 2 ) Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM). For this system we investigate the occurrence of the revival–collapse phenomenon (RCP) in the evolution of the single-mode, two-mode, sum and difference quadrature squeezing. We show that there is a class of states for which all these types of squeezing exhibit RCP similar to that involved in the corresponding atomic inversion. Also we show numerically that the single-mode squeezing of the first mode for ( k 1 , k 2 ) = (3,1) provides RCP similar to that of the atomic inversion of the case ( k 1 , k 2 ) = (1,1); however, sum and difference squeezing give partial information on that case. Moreover, we show that single-mode, two-mode and sum squeezing for the case ( k 1 , k 2 ) = (2,2) provides information on the atomic inversion of the single-mode two-photon JCM. We derive the rescaled squeezing factors giving accurate information on the atomic inversion for all cases. The consequences of these results are that the homodyne and heterodyne detectors can be used to detect the RCP for the two-mode JCM.

Revival-collapse phenomenon in the quadrature squeezing of the multiphoton intensity-dependent Jaynes-Cummings model

Faisal A. A. El-Orany

For multiphoton intensity-dependent Jaynes-Cummings model (JCM), which is described by two-level atom interacting with a radiation field, we prove that there is a relationship between the atomic inversion and the quadrature squeezing. We give the required condition to obtain best information from this relation. Also we show that this relation is only sensitive to large values of the detuning parameter. Furthermore, we discuss briefly such relation for the off-resonance standard JCM. PACS numbers: 42.50.Dv, 32.80.-t, 42.50.-p. I.

Dynamical Properties of a Two-Level Atom in Three Variants of the Two-Photonq-Deformed Jaynes–Cummings Model

M. H. Naderi, M. Soltanolkotabi, R. Roknizadeh

Temporal evolution of atomic properties including the population inversion and quantum fluctuations of atomic dipole variables are discussed in three various variants of two-photon q-deformed Jaynes-Cummings model. With the the field initially being in three different types of q-deformed coherent states, the quantum collapse and revival effects as well as atomic diploe squeezing are studied for both on-and off-resonant atom-field interaction. Particularly, it is shown that for nonzero detuning the atomic inversion exhibits superstructures which are absent in the non-deformed Jaynes-Cummings model and the dipole squeezing may be enhanced.
