Abstract

Consider three two level atoms initially in the GHz state. Then we put two atoms of the three atoms into tw cavties, respectively. It is shown that the two atoms respectively inside the caviteis emit two mode squeezed light by the manipulation of the atom outside the cavities.

Considering three two-level atoms initially in the GHZ state, then one atom of them is put into an initially empty cavity and made resonant interaction. It is shown that the emission properties of the atom inside the cavity can be affected only when both of the atoms outside the cavity have been manipulated. This conclusion can also be generalized to n two-level atoms.

Controlling dipole squeezing of two atoms inside a cavity via manipulating an atom outside the cavity

Considering that three two-level atoms are initially in the GHZ single state and two of the atoms are simultaneously put into a cavity initially in the coherent state, we investigate the dipole squeezing properties of the two atoms inside the cavity under the condition of resonant interaction. It is shown that dipole squeezing properties of the two atoms inside the cavity are strongly affected by rotation manipulating of the atom outside the cavity.

Emission properties of atoms inside a cavity when manipulating the atoms outside the cavity

Considering two two-level atoms initially in the non-maximally entangled state, one of them is put into an initially empty cavity and resonant interaction occurs. It is shown that the emission properties of the atom inside the cavity will be affected when the other atom outside the cavity is manipulated. And the degree of entanglement of the atoms can also affect the emission properties. This conclusion is generalized to the situation of the two-mode squeezed property of two cavities interacting with three two-level atoms.

Two-mode squeezing of cavity fields

Zhengdong Liu, Xiao-Lin Li, D. L. Lin +1 more

Two-mode squeezing of a cavity field interacting with a three-level \ensuremath{\Lambda}-type atom is found for a field initially in a coherent state. Some phenomena are revealed, such as two-mode squeezing weaker than single-mode squeezing due to the mode coupling, and periodic recovery of squeezed states caused by two-photon processes.
