The emission properties of an atom inside a cavity when manipulating the atoms outside the cavity

Abstract

Considering three two-level atoms initially in the GHZ state, then one atom of them is put into an initially empty cavity and made resonant interaction. It is shown that the emission properties of the atom inside the cavity can be affected only when both of the atoms outside the cavity have been manipulated. This conclusion can also be generalized to n two-level atoms.

Emission properties of atoms inside a cavity when manipulating the atoms outside the cavity

Considering two two-level atoms initially in the non-maximally entangled state, one of them is put into an initially empty cavity and resonant interaction occurs. It is shown that the emission properties of the atom inside the cavity will be affected when the other atom outside the cavity is manipulated. And the degree of entanglement of the atoms can also affect the emission properties. This conclusion is generalized to the situation of the two-mode squeezed property of two cavities interacting with three two-level atoms.

Controlling dipole squeezing of two atoms inside a cavity via manipulating an atom outside the cavity

Considering that three two-level atoms are initially in the GHZ single state and two of the atoms are simultaneously put into a cavity initially in the coherent state, we investigate the dipole squeezing properties of the two atoms inside the cavity under the condition of resonant interaction. It is shown that dipole squeezing properties of the two atoms inside the cavity are strongly affected by rotation manipulating of the atom outside the cavity.

Considering three two-level atoms initially in the GHZ state, two atoms of the three atoms are put into initially empty cavity and made resonant interaction. The two-atom entanglement properties inside cavities are investigated by means of the quantum theory and numerical calculations.Through comparing the results if a rotation operation and direct selective measurement is performed or not,the influences of a rotation operation and state-selective measurement of the atom outside the cavity on the two-atom entanglement evolution inside cavities are discussed. The results obtained using the numerical method show that the two-atom entanglement properties inside cavities is controlled by manipulating the atom outside the cavity, and it can be strengthened by seleting suitable rotation angle.

Considering three two-level atoms initially in the W state, then two of them are placed into two initially empty cavities respectively and made resonantly interacted. The two-atom entanglement evolution inside cavities is investigated. The effects of rotational manipulation and state-selective measurement of the atoms outside the cavities on the two-atom entanglement evolution inside cavities are discussed. The results obtained using the numerical method show that the two-atom entanglement inside cavities is controlled by manipulating the atom outside the cavity.
