Abstract

A method to compute the scattering of two-partite continuous variable entangled state is proposed. The equivalence of one dimensional potential barrier and beam splitter is proven and the scattering of one dimensional potential barrier in two-mode squeezed vacuum state is studied. The results show that after the scattering of one dimensional potential barrier, the two-mode squeezed vacuum state will lose its entanglement, but it can keep a nonzero fidelity, and the fidelity will decrease as the squeezed factor increases.

The scattering of two-mode squeezed vacuum state and entangled coherent state through a one-dimensional potential barrier

Chen Xing, Yun‐Jie Xia, 山东省激光偏光与信息技术重点实验室,曲阜师范大学物理系,曲阜 273165

We analyze the one-dimensional potential barrier scattering problem of two-mode squeezed vacuum state and entangled coherent state. We show that the entanglement of both the scattering states exhibits a parabolic relation with the transmission coefficient of the barrier, and valley of the parabola corresponds with a semi-anti-semi-permeable barrier. In addition, the entanglement of the former has a similar parabolic relation with the incident squeezed factor, and the entanglement of the latter has a linear relation with the incident entanglement. The fidelities of both the scattering states increase as the transmission coefficient increases, but the former decreases as the incident squeezed factor increases and the latter decreases as the incident module of coherent state increases.

Entanglement swapping of continuous variable using squeezed vacuum states

Wei Ping Yan, Zhang Wei-Jun

We present a realistic scheme for the entanglement swapping of continuous variable, in which a two-mode squeezed vacuum state serves as a quantum channel. The position sum and momentum difference of two local modes are measured. By taking the input entangled state also as a two-mode squeezed vacuum state, we investigate the average fidelity and the von Neumann entropy of the output state. The results show that the perfect teleportation can be achieved by increasing the squeezing of the quantum channel and that any nonzero squeezing in both the quantum channel and the input entangled state is sufficient to swap the entanglement.

Teleportation of two-mode squeezed vacuum states

Yan We

The teleportation of two-mode continuous variables was performed by using two two-mode squeezed vacuum states served as quantum channel. The average fidelity and the probability density were calculated for teleportation of a two-mode squeezed vacuum state. The results indicate that increased squeezing of teleported state will lead to a loss of fidelity. The probability density of measuring result consists of the product of two bivariate normed density functions, and it shows that when the average fidelity goes up,the probability of obtaining large measurement value also increases.

Entanglement and disentanglement from cascade beam-splitter for squeezed vacuum state inputs

Qingping Zhou, Mao-Fa Fang, Xiaojuan Liu +3 more

Properties of the entanglement at the outputs of a cascade beam-splitter are investigated for two single-mode squeezed vacuum state inputs. It is shown that the entanglement depends on the squeezing amplitudes of the input states and the reflection coefficients of the cascade beam-splitter and the composite phase shift Δ between the cascade beam-splitter and the input fields has a great effect on the entanglement. In particular, the properties of the entanglement of a cascade beam-splitter differ from those of only one beam-splitter. A further method for manipulating entanglement by adjusting the parameters of the cascade beam-splitter and the input fields is proposed.

Measurement-induced nonclassical state from two-mode squeezed vacuum states via beam splitter and its entanglement properties

Heng-Mei Li, Xue-xiang Xu, Hong‐Chun Yuan +1 more

Abstract A theoretical scheme of generating a new kind of two-mode non-Gaussian entangled state is presented by means of beam splitters (BSs) and conditional measurement. Here, after detecting photon numbers at the output port of each BS with two kinds of two-mode squeezed vacuum-state inputs, the output state is proved to be two-variable Hermite polynomial excited squeezed vacuum states. Its success probability of detection, namely, normalization factor, is derived in compact expression related to the Jacobi polynomials. Based on the general expression of expectation value, the statistical properties are discussed by exploring the cross-correlation function and anti-bunching effect. The entanglement properties are also investigated by using the Shchukin–Vogel criteria and Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen correlation. The results show that the entanglement of the output state can be enhanced with the increasing photon detection number under the condition of simultaneously detecting the same photon number at the two output ports, which may have good potential for applications in the field of quantum information processing.

Entanglement Diversion of Entangled Squeezed Vacuum State

Naosheng Qiao

By analyzing the action of a beam splitter on squeezed vacuum states (SVSs), it is found that, if the two input light beams of the beam splitter have the same squeezing amplitude and phase, the output state is a two-mode SVS. If the two input light beams of the beam splitter have the same squeezing amplitude but a phase difference of π, the output state is a direct product state of two single-mode SVSs. In the two-mode SVS, each mode has the same photon number with both even and odd photons, while the single-mode SVS which contains only even-number photon in the photon number-state representation. Based on these results, a scheme to divert the entanglement of entangled SVS from its initial locations to another location is suggested. In this scheme, the two SVSs are utilized as the quantum channel. The process of the entanglement diversion is achieved by using the 50/50 symmetric beam splitters and the photon detectors with the help of classical information.
