Abstract

The teleportation of two-mode continuous variables was performed by using two two-mode squeezed vacuum states served as quantum channel. The average fidelity and the probability density were calculated for teleportation of a two-mode squeezed vacuum state. The results indicate that increased squeezing of teleported state will lead to a loss of fidelity. The probability density of measuring result consists of the product of two bivariate normed density functions, and it shows that when the average fidelity goes up,the probability of obtaining large measurement value also increases.

Realistic teleportation of coherent states using squeezed vacuum states

Wei Ping Yan, Zhang Wei-Jun

This paper presents a realistic scheme for the teleportation of coherent states in which a two-mode squeezed vacuum state serves as the quantum channel and the position-sum and momentum-difference of two local modes serve as the measuring observables. The average fidelity of the teleportation of coherent states is derived for finite squeezing parameters and it turns out that fidelity greater than ½ cannot be achieved by using a classical channel alone and the probability distribution of the measurement result is a Gaussian distribution around the unknown parameter of the input coherent state with a width given by the squeezing parameter.

The Quantum Teleportation Fidelity of the Squeezed Vacuum State

Zhuan Li, Chunmei Liu, Jun-ling Wang +1 more

We use two-mode squeezed vacuum state as a quantum channel to teleportate the quantum squeezed vacuum state and analyze the fidelity of the teleportation by the Wigner function. The result shows that the squeeze factor of the quantum squeezed vacuum state is smaller, the quantum features of the teleportation state is more easily preserved.

Entanglement swapping of continuous variable using squeezed vacuum states

Wei Ping Yan, Zhang Wei-Jun

We present a realistic scheme for the entanglement swapping of continuous variable, in which a two-mode squeezed vacuum state serves as a quantum channel. The position sum and momentum difference of two local modes are measured. By taking the input entangled state also as a two-mode squeezed vacuum state, we investigate the average fidelity and the von Neumann entropy of the output state. The results show that the perfect teleportation can be achieved by increasing the squeezing of the quantum channel and that any nonzero squeezing in both the quantum channel and the input entangled state is sufficient to swap the entanglement.

Transfer of nonclassical features in quantum teleportation via a mixed quantum channel

Jinhyoung Lee, M. S. Kim, Hyunseok Jeong

Quantum teleportation of a continuous-variable state is studied for the quantum channel of a two-mode squeezed vacuum influenced by a thermal environment. Each mode of the squeezed vacuum is assumed to undergo the same thermal influence. It is found that when the mixed two-mode squeezed vacuum for the quantum channel is separable, any nonclassical features, which may be imposed in an original unknown state, cannot be transferred to a receiving station. A two-mode Gaussian state, one of which is a mixed two-mode squeezed vacuum, is separable if and only if a positive well-defined P function can be assigned to it. The fidelity of teleportation is considered in terms of the noise factor given by the imperfect channel. It is found that quantum teleportation may give more noise than direct transmission of a field under the thermal environment, which is due to the fragile nature of quantum entanglement of the quantum channel.

The dependence of fidelity on the squeezing parameter in teleportation of the squeezed coherent states

Jingtao Zhang, Guangqiang He, Li-Jie Ren +1 more

This paper investigates an analytical expression of teleportation fidelity in the teleportation scheme of a single mode of electromagnetic field. The fidelity between the original squeezed coherent state and the teleported one is expressed in terms of the squeezing parameter r and the quantum channel parameter (two-mode squeezed state) p . The results of analysis show that the fidelity increases with the increase of the quantum channel parameter p , while the fidelity decreases with the increase of the squeezing parameter r of the squeezed state. Thus the coherent state ( r = 0) is the best quantum signal for continuous variable quantum teleportation once the quantum channel is built.

Continuous-variable quantum teleportation through bosonic memory channel

Shao-Hua Xiang, Yu-Jing Zhao, Ke-Hui Song

Abstract We put forward a scheme for quantum teleportation of continuous-variable Gaussian states using, as a quantum channel, a two-mode squeezed vacuum interacting with a thermal environment showing memory effects. We found that fidelity larger than the classical limit may be obtained, upon exploiting memory effects, also using lower measurement gain. We show that fidelity increases with the memory of the channel and decreases with the thermal noise. Finally, we discuss the effects of memory on the distortion cumulants.
