Abstract

This paper studies the photon structure through the phenomenon of Wave Particle Duality and proposes a photon model. This model has the following features:(1)Attractiveforce exists between the photon and nucleus;(2)The altering electromagnetic and magnetic fields equips the photon with phase and light intensity is determined by the number and phase of photons.Based on these hypotheses, the paper takes the celestial body movement for reference and analyses the photon distributionprobability. Then, according to the central limit theorem,we get the conclusion that the photons obey a Gaussian distribution. Besides, the superposition effects of photon phase are analyzed. Finally, computer simulation is carrier out to compare with the present optical experimental phenomena such as the single slit diffraction, double slit interference and multi-slit interference.

Simulation researches are conducted by mathematical modeling approach through computer for verification wave-particle duality of light.Firsty, the following two models are established:the single slit diffraction simulation model based on Photon hydrogen-like structure, which light change in forward direction after passed the silt is explained. And the double slit interference simulation model based on Photon electromagnetic plane wave concept, whichblack hole effect likeis proposed. Then, the rationality of the models are verified by means of Matlab simulation. Finally, combined with mentioned two models, qualitative analysis show that wave-particle duality of light properly is explained by simulation result.

Mathematical Modeling and Simulation Based on the Light Particles Doctrine

Duan Yin Shi, Xiao Peng Zhang, Hong Xia Du

Gong Zutong academician guessed that the structure of the photon may be similar to the hydrogen atom which consists of a negative charge and a positive charge with the equal power, and the negative charge rotates around the positive charge in a spherical orbit. Based on this conjecture, to establish respectively the equation of photon movement for the dual-slit interference and single slit diffraction experiments. To get respectively the light intensity distribution model using complex integration method. Finally, to get that the width of the diffraction pattern of the conjecture is obviously wider than the results of Born through mathematical simulation in MATLAB software.

Light Wave-particle Duality Exploration

Zhongliang Liu

Light has wave-particle duality, but it is difficult to see these two properties in a particular optical phenomenon. Both properties of light can be a perfect unity,if we could explain the wave nature through the particle property.Base on the Mathematical modeling of Gong Zutong photon model and the forward electromagnetic photon model,we compared the MATLAB simulation results with the experimental results. Then we find both models are shortcomings, and propose an improved photon model. With this improved model,we explain the optical interference, diffraction and polarization phenomena which show the wave nature of light.

Wave-particle duality of light appearing in an intensity interferometric scenario

Rikizo Ikuta

A single photon exhibits wave-particle duality in the Young's double-slit interferometer. The duality characterized by an interference visibility and a which-path information has trade-off relation known as complementarity. These quantities are related to the first-order coherence, and the interference is based on the phase correlation between lights coming from two arms. However according to quantum optics theory, such a simple wave-particle picture is not enough to understand the nature because the theory showed an importance of higher-order coherence in the sense of both interference and statistical distribution of photons. Second-order intensity correlation is especially crucial to reveal distinctive quantum features of photons with no classical analogue. Here, in an intensity interferometric scenario as represented by the Hong-Ou-Mandel interferometer, we discuss a wave-particle duality of light based on a which-path information and a quantity characterizing a magnitude of the intensity interferometric effect. We show, for classical light, the two quantities obey the complementary principle similar to the case of the double-slit experiment, but do not for nonclassical light. The nonclassical light such as photons at two arms is allowed to show larger which-path information and intensity interference simultaneously beyond the complementary relation. Moreover, the violation reveals a new nonclassical nature of light although both of the above two quantities seem to be understandable classically, which is never found from a consideration of only one side of wave-particle duality.

Lv Fangcheng

Based on the wave-particle duality of light, many scholars have proposed different guesses,to explain the linear propagation, diffraction and interference of light. In this article, mathematical modeling and simulation verification have been carried out on three guesses based on the wave-particle duality of light. With the Matlab tool, the optical phenomenon, such as diffraction, are used to verify the corresponding guess, and the results are compared with the book Optical Principle.
