Abstract

The squeezing properties in Schrodinger cat states are discussed via the mearured phase opertors introduced by Barnett S M and Pegg D T. The results show that the squeezing properties are dependent on the superposition coefficients and the squeezing properties are weakened gradually along with increase of the superposition coefficients.

Squeezing Properties of Measurement Phase Operatorin the Squeezed Thermal States

Yun‐Jie Xia

The squeezing properties in the squeezed thermal states are discussed via the measurement phase operators introduced by Barnett S M and Pegg D T. The results show that there is only a kind of CS squeezing. The squeezing properties are dependent on θ、 the average photon number and the field coefficients and the squeezing properties are weakened gradually along with increase of the average photon number and the field coefficients. It is found that there are not CN and SN squeezing.

The squeezing of angular momentum and its evolutions in atomic Schrdinger cat states

Chuan-hua Dong, 上海大学物理系,上海 200436

The atomic coherent states will evolve to the atomic Schrdinger cat states at some special times in a low-Q acvity. The fluctuations and higher-order fluctuations of angular momentum in these atomic Schrdinger cat states are discussed. According to the uncertainty principle, the squeezing and higher-order squeezing for atomic angular momentum are investigated. It shows that the atomic Schrdinger cat states can be squeezed to second-and sixth-order, but cannot be squeezed to fourth-order. The properties of squeezing of atomic Schrdinger cat states formed by superposing infinite terms of atomic coherent states are identical with those of atomic coherent states.

Squeezing Properties of Measured Phase Operators in Generalized Kerr Even and Odd Coherent States

Shao‐Wu Zhang

The properties of the phase squeezing in even and odd coherent states of a finite-dimensional Hibert space have been studied via the measured phase operators introduced by Barnett S M and Pegg D T.The influences of dimensional size of Hilbert space on squeezing of measured phase operarors have been discussed emphatically. It is shown that the cos mφ has squeezing in the CS type in even coherent states, and the degree of squeezing is relevant to s,|α|2 and δ.
