Abstract

Studied a two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model in an external field. The interaction between the atom system and the external field is regarded as a perturbation. Using the perturbation theory, we obtain its wave functions up to the first-order, and discuss the photon number distribution of the cavity field and the population inversion of the atom in the system.

The Energy-level Configuration of Jaynes-Cummings Model in An External Field

Fei Zeng

We study a atomic system coupled to a quantum field and an external classical field at the same time. The interaction betwere the atom and the external field is regarded as a perturbation. Using perturbation theory to solve the energy-level configuration of this quantum system, where the first-order are zero, and the second-order are proportionate to the second power of the coupling constant betwere the atom and the external field.

Photon statistical properties of the cavity field in the two—atom Jaynes—Cummings model

Liangjun, WANGKai-ge

The model that two two-level atoms interact with a singel-mode cavity is studied. The exact solution of the time evolution operator for the two-atom Jaynes-Cummings model is presented by the bare-states approach. Furthermore, we investigate the dynamical properties of the photon statistics of the cavity field, and obtain a number of novel features.

Field statistics in some generalized Jaynes-Cummings models

Surendra Singh

Photon statistics in some fully quantized models of the interaction of a two-level atom with a single-mode radiation field have been studied using the operator equations of motion. Expressions for the photon number distribution and the mean photon number are presented for various initial conditions. It is found that the mean photon number may show decays and revivals of coherence similar to those of the atomic inversion in the coherent-state Jaynes-Cummings model. Application of these models to the study of multiphoton laser, absorption, and emission processes is also discussed.

The entanglement and second-order coherence function in a two-atom nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model

Chuan Mo, Kai Xu, Guo‐Feng Zhang

Abstract The influence of the Kerr nonlinearity on the two two-level atoms entanglement is investigated in Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM), so that one of atoms is inside the cavity field and the other atom is outside it. We show that the entanglement of atoms increases with the decrease of the phase decoherence rate or Kerr coefficient, when considering the effect of external environment. Then due to the statistic properties of the anti-bunching effect of photons are related to entanglement, the nonlinear JCM is examined theoretically to analyze the bunching or anti-bunching effect by using the second-order coherence function. We find that the second-order coherence function decreases with the Kerr coefficient. Our results show that the field reflects the stronger bunching effect with the bigger average photon number.
