Abstract

A scheme is proposed to realize 1→2 phase-covariant quantum cloning machine in cavity electrodynamics. This clone machine acts on the electronic states of atoms that interact with electromagnetic fields of two high-Q cavities. The cavity fields are initially prepared in the vacuum states.Although CNOT operations are needed, fewer operations are required than other schemes and the basic operations(controlled quantum gates and classical field pulses)are thoughtfully tested.

Realization of the Unified Quantum Cloning Machine Based on cavity QED

Xue Li, Ren Yi-Ming, Nian-Quan Jiang

Based on cavity QED, we first propose the unified scheme to implement the 1→2 optimal universal quantum cloning machine for arbitrary input state, the asymmetric 1→2 phase-covariant cloning and the 1→3 optimal asymmetric economical phase-covariant quantum cloning machine for the equatorial input state. During the cloning process, due to atoms interacting with a highly detuned cavity mode, thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay and thermal field.

Implementation and Error-correction of a Phase-covariant Quantum Cloning Machine in Cavity QED

We propose a scheme for 1→2 phase-covariant quantum cloning machine(PCCM) with the interaction between N two-level atoms and a vacuum cavity field.Meanwhile, based on this cloning machine,we also present a scheme for quantum error correction,in which the decoherence effects caused by phase or bit flip errors are considered. We just need to perform a Bell measurement on the last two qubits and rotate the first qubit along a suitable axis to recover the original unknown state.

Implementation of Phase-covariant Quantum Cloning with Superconducting Quantum-interference Devices in Cavity QED

Yi-Zhuang Zheng

We propose two schemes for realizing 1→2 economical phase-covariant quantum cloning with superconducting quantum-interference devices(SQUID) in cavity QED.In our schemes, the SQUIDs with three levels act with a quantized cavity field and classical microwave pluses via Raman transition. On the condition of large detuning, the excited state would be eliminated adiabaticly.During the whole operation, the cavity field is in the vacuum state at all times,so there is no transfer of quantum information between the SQUIDs and cavity, thus the cavity decay is largely suppressed.By using this method,we can realize the phase-covariant quantum cloning by four steps.

Universal quantum cloning in cavity QED

P. Milman, H. Ollivier, J. M. Raimond

We propose an implementation of an universal quantum cloning machine [UQCM, V. Buzek and M. Hillery, Phys. Rev. A 54, 1844 (1996)] in a cavity quantum electrodynamics experiment. This UQCM acts on the electronic states of atoms that interact with the electromagnetic field of a high-$Q$ cavity. We discuss here the specific case of the $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{1}2$ cloning process using either a one- or a two-cavity configuration.

Realization of a general quantum cloning machine via cavity-assisted interaction

Bao‐Long Fang, Tao Wu, Liu Ye

We present a scheme to realize a general quantum cloning machine via cavity-assisted interaction. First, this scheme can prepare entangled states of three remote trapped atoms including the W state and the GHZ state. Based on this approach, the quantum information carried by a photon pulse or a trapped atom can be copied to other two trapped atoms. According to the known information of the initial state, the equipment can provide the optimal symmetric (asymmetric) universal and phase-covariant quantum cloning. Further, via the cavity input-output process, the quantum cloning can be realized with high fidelity, even if the atom is not localized in the Lamb-Dicke regime.

Scheme for Implementation of an Economic 1 → 3 Quantum Cloning Machine via Cavity-Assisted Atomic Collisions in Cavity-QED

Qi Liu, Wen‐Hai Zhang, Liu Ye

A scheme to implement of 1 → 3 economic phase-covariant cloning machine for unknown equator state in cavity-QED is proposed. The scheme requires cavity-assisted collision processes between atoms, which cross through nonresonant cavity fields in the vacuum states. The cavity fields are only virtually excited so that the cavity quality factor can be loosened.
