Abstract

In the frame of Ising model, we investigate the critical properties of ferromagnetic spin system with random crystal field and obtain the magnetization expressions for the square lattice by using effective field theory. Special emphasis is placed on critical properties of the system. At the range of concern crystal field and random concentration, the present system shows some new critical properties. We discuss in detail the influence of random concentration on the critical properties and give phase diagram and magnetization curve.

At the range of concern random concentration of crystal field and bond dilution, the present system shows some new critical properties, such as fluctuation of tricritical point. We discuss in detail the influence of two disorder factors on the critical properties and give phase diagram.

Critical properties of the transverse ferromagnetic spin system with random single-ion anisotropy

Deng Ling-Ling, Yan Shi-Lei

A transverse ferromagnetic spin-1 system with a random single-ion anisotropy is considered in the framework of an Ising model. The effective field theory and decoupling approximation are applied to the derivation of the expressions of magnetizations for a honeycomb lattice. Special emphasis is placed on the critical properties of the system. New critical properties are obtained in a certain range of single-ion anisotropy, random concentration and transverse field. We discuss in detail the influence of the random concentration and transverse field on the critical properties. Some phenomena have not been discovered in previous reports. Detailed descriptions of the phase transition and magnetization curves are presented.

Magnetic Properties in a Spin-1 Random Transverse Ising Model on Square Lattice

H. Mohammadi Kamrava, M. Barati

In this paper we investigate the effect of a random transverse field, distributed according to a trimodal distribution, on the phase diagram and magnetic properties of a two-dimensional lattice (square with z=4),  ferromagnetic Ising system consisting of magnetic atoms with spin-1. This study is done using the effectivefield theory (EFT) with correlations method. The equations are derived using a probability distribution method based on the use of exact Van der Waerden identities. We present our numerical results, such as the phase diagrams, the thermal variations of the transverse magnetization, the internal energy, the magnetic specific heat as a function of different values of p, the concentration of the random transverse field. As a result, the critical values of transverse field , temperature and concentration were obtained for the square lattice.

Thermodynamic properties of random transverse mixed Ising spin system with cryst al field

Zhang Ya-Nan, Yan Shi-Lei, (1)苏州大学物理系,苏州 215006; (2)苏州大学物理系,苏州 215006;苏州大学薄膜材料江苏省重点实验室,苏州 215006

Making use of the effective field theory (EFT) and a cutting approximation, in the framework of Ising model, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of a random transverse mixed spin system with a crystal field. Special emphasis is placed on the influence of crystal field, transverse field and random concentration on phase transitions of the system. Our studies find that a smaller crystal field cannot change the percolation threshold of the critical transverse field in the presence of a random transverse field, and that the reentrant phenomena shall appear in the range of random concentration concerned when the transverse field takes a larger value, where as the reentrant phenomena do not occur and when the transverse field takes a smaller value. These new thermodynamic properties have not been reported in previous works so far as we know. We give a series of pha se diagrams and discuss them in detail.

Magnetic Properties and Phase Transitions in a Spin-1 Random Transverse Ising Model on Simple Cubic Lattice

H. Mohammadi Kamrava, M. Barati

Within the effective-field theory with correlations (EFT), a transverse random field spin-1 Ising model on the simple cubic (z=6) lattice is studied. The phase diagrams, the behavior of critical points, transverse magnetization,  internal energy, magnetic specific heat are obtained numerically and discussed for different values of p the concentration of the random transverse field.
