Abstract

Quantum key distribution is the most secure technology to distribute a secret key. There is a set of orthogonal product states in a two-qubit three-state quantum system which can show nonlocality. This paper provides a quantum key distribution protocol based otn the nonlocality of such system. The two parties establish the key by exchanging quantum qubits and performing the collective measurement on them. The laws of quantum mechanics guarantee that this protocol is unconditionally secure. No other people can get the key without being found. There are no entangled states and quantum operations needed in the protocol. So it is easier to carry out in practice. And it can gain high reliability and robustness.

Determined Key Distribution Protocol Using Non-Orthogonal Quantum States

Xiao Yu Li, Lei Zhao

In this paper we provide an quantum determined key distribution protocol using non-orthogonal quantum states. Two parts can build a key by exchanging some qubits. The principles of quantum mechanics guarantee that the protocol is unconditionally secure. No one except the two parts can get the key. There are no entangled states and complex quantum operations except measurements needed in our protocol. So it is easier to carry out and more robust in practice.

Determined Key Distribution Protocol Using Orthogonal Product States

Xiao Yu Li, Qiu Yu Zhao

In this paper we provide a determined key distribution protocol using orthogonal product states in which people can share a predetermined string as the key. The fundamental principles of quantum mechanics guarantee that the protocol is unconditionally secure. There are no entangled states or complex quantum operations needed in our protocol. So it’s easy to carry out in practice and robust against possible noise and attacks.

Quantum Authentication Using Orthogonal Product States

Dexi Zhang, Xiaoyu Li

In this paper we provide a quantum authentication protocol. It is based on the nonlocality of the orthogonal product states of a two-particle system. The two parties share a sequence of two-particle systems as the authentication key. To authenticate each other, they only need to create auxiliary particles and exchange them. No one without the authentication key can pass the authentication process. So the protocol is secure. The authentication key is reusable because it doesn't change after the authentication process. The protocol is more practicable because it needn't entangled states and complex operations but product states and measurement which are easier to carry out in practice.

Quantum key distribution protocol based on any Bell states

Liu Lin-Yao, HU Meng-Jun, Guangjun Xie

In order to improve the security and efficiency of quantum key distribution protocol,a protocol was proposed based on entanglement swapping. The two parties of communication establish the key by performing the Bell state measurement. No other people can get the key without being found.Different from the proposed protocol, the Bell measurement of any two Bell states can be realized to achieve the purpose of quantum key distribution. It does not need multi-particle entangled state but only EPR pair to realize the protocol.Analysis results showed that this protocol not only ensures the security of the quantum key shared information, but also uses the entanglement states of two photons without unitary operation. And the protocol is simple and efficient.

A Secured Half-Duplex Bidirectional Quantum Key Distribution Protocol against Collective Attacks

Manal Khawasik, Wagdy Gomaa El-Sayed, Magdi Z. Rashad +1 more

Quantum Key Distribution is a secure method that implements cryptographic protocols. The applications of quantum key distribution technology have an important role: to enhance the security in communication systems. It is originally inspired by the physical concepts associated with quantum mechanics. It aims to enable a secure exchange of cryptographic keys between two parties through an unsecured quantum communication channel. This work proposes a secure half-duplex bidirectional quantum key distribution protocol. The security of the proposed protocol is proved against collective attacks by estimating the interception of any eavesdropper with high probability in both directions under the control of the two parties. A two-qubit state encodes two pieces of information; the first qubit represents the transmitted bit and the second qubit represents the basis used for measurement. The partial diffusion operator is used to encrypt the transmitted qubit state as an extra layer of security. The predefined symmetry transformations induced by unitary in conjunction with the asymmetrical two-qubit teleportation scheme retain the protocol’s secrecy. Compared to the previous protocols, the proposed protocol has better performance on qubit efficiency.

Quantum Determined Key Distribution Scheme Using Quantum Teleportation

Xiaoyu Li, Nianqing Wan, Dexi Zhang

In this paper we provide a quantum determined key distribution protocol using quantum teleportation. Unlike the previous protocols which produce a random string in the key distribution process as the key, in our protocol the two parties can share a predetermined binary string as the key with the help of quantum teleportation. The principles of quantum mechanics guarantees that no other people can get the key. So the protocol is unconditionally secure.
