Abstract

We modify the existent scheme that can be used to generate cluster state in ion-trap system. The main program is based on the generation of Bell state and the realization of controlling phase gate, with which we can generate the four-and six-qubit cluster states.

Generation of cluster states in ion-trap systems

Shi‐Biao Zheng

We propose two schemes for the generation of four-qubit cluster states in ion-trap systems. The first scheme is based on resonant sideband excitation, while the second scheme does not use the vibrational mode as the memory. The schemes can be realized with presently available ion-trap techniques.

Generation of a Four-Particle Cluster State and Perfect Teleportation of an Arbitrary Two-Particle State in an Ion-Trap System

Xin-Wen Wang, Guojian Yang

We propose a scheme for generating a four-particle cluster state in an ion-trap system. The scheme is insensitive to the thermal motion of the ions, and needs less operations than previous ones. With such a setup, we also demonstrate a procedure for perfectly teleporting an arbitrary two-particle state via a single multipartite entanglement channel, a four-particle cluster state.

Two Feasible Schemes for Preparing Cluster States with Ion-Trap Setup

Xin-Wen Wang, Cao Shuai, Li-Xin Xia

We present two schemes for preparing cluster states with atomic qubits in an ion-trap system. In the first scheme an auxiliary atomic level is needed. While in the second scheme an additional classical driven field is used, and the multi-ion cluster states can be generated by one step. Both the schemes are insensitive to thermal motion of the ions, all the facilities used in them are well within state of the art.

Generation of Cluster States of Trapped Ions

Mei-Feng Chen, Xia-Ping Jiang

A scheme is presented for generating cluster states in trapped ion system. The vibrational mode in the scheme is only virtually excited. The scheme uses two-level ions to generate cluster states and it only requires a single laser beam to illuminate two interacting ions. Therefore, the scheme is simple and easy. Its successful probability can reach 100%.

Creation of cluster states of trapped ions by collective addressing

Peter A. Ivanov, Nikolay V. Vitanov, Martin Bodo Plenio

We propose an efficient technique for creation of cluster states of trapped ions. The ions are addressed collectively, in only two interaction steps, by a pair of pulses tuned near the blue- and red-sideband transitions. The technique is very suitable for four-ion cluster states, for which the initial condition is the product state \ensuremath{\mid}0000⟩. Five- and six-ion cluster states require an initial preparation of one or two Bell states. Larger cluster states can be prepared by using four-ion cluster states as building blocks. The technique is insensitive to vibrational motion and hence to heating.
