Abstract

The state function of the two-mode SU(1,1) coherent states field interacting with four-level atom added Kerr-like medium was derived. By using the state function it was studied that the influence of the Kerr effect and the initial light field intensity on the two-mode intensity correlation function, the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality, and the second-order correlation function for each mode. The results indicate that the influences of Kerr effects on the properties of the correlation on the correlation intensity between the two-mode on the bunching or antibunching effect of the two-mode SU(1,1) coherent states are obviously related to the initial intensity of the light field.

INTERACTION OF TWO-MODE SU(1,1) COHERENT STATES WITH THE V-TYPE THREE-LEVEL ATOM IN A KERR-LIKE-MEDIUM

LAI YUN-ZHONG, Liang Jiu-Qing, (1)山西大学理论物理研究所; (2)太原重型机械学院基础部

We first derive the state vector of a V-type three-level atom interacting with two-mode SU (1,1) coherent states in a Kerr-like medium. It is shown by numericl calculations that the Kerr effect results indifferent characters of the Rabi oscillation, as compared with the two-levelatom case, while the correlation of the two-mode coherent states is less affected by the the Kerr medium. We also discuss the influence of Kerr effect on the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality.

Photonic Bunching or Antibunching Effect of SU(1,1) CoherentStates Interacting Non-resonantly with a Λ-type Three-level Atom

Tan Zhen-xing

In the system of SU(1,1) coherent states interacting non-resonantly with a Λ-type three-level atom, the influences of detuning, Kerr medium and initial atomic state on the second-order coherence degree are investigated. The results show that the influence of Kerr medium is unobvious on the second-order coherence degree, that the detuning makes the influence of initial atomic state on the mode 1 weak and on the mode 2 strong, and that the initial atomic state effects on the second-order coherence degree for each mode, but the effects on the mode 1 are stronger than on the mode 2.

Influence of intrinsic decoherence on the quantum statistical properties of light field

Zhang Cheng-qiang

The quantum statistical properties in the system of a two-mode SU(1,1)coherent field interacting with a two-level atom are investigated by solving Milburn equation. The effects on the quantum statistical properties induced by the intrinsic decoherence, the two-mode photon number and the mean photon number are analyzed. The results show that the intrinsic decoherence strengthens the anti-bunching effect of the two-mode and the correlation intensity between the two modes and makes the first mode of the field always to be sub-Poissonian.The second-order coherence degree of the two-mode field also exhibits obvious collapse- revival effect with the intrinsic decoherence. The first mode of the field is sub-Poissonian with the evolution of the time. The photon anti-bunching appears and the correlation between the two modes of light is both positive and non-classical.But in most of the time, the second mode of the field is Poissonian with the evolution of the time and the photon bunching appears.

Statistic properties of photon in the system of two coupling atoms interacting with two-mode squeezed vacuum field in Kerr medium

Fang Jia-Yuan, Huang Chun-Jia, Huang Zu-hong +2 more

The statistic properties of photons in the system of two-mode squeezing vacuum field interacting with two coupling atoms in Kerr medium are studied by means of quantum theory. The influences of coupling constant χ, initial squeezed parameter r and the atomic initial state are discussed. The results obtained by means of numerical method show that the photon bunching and anti-bunching appear alternately, and the correlation of the two modes of light is both positive and non-classical. The periodical collapse-revival phenomenon of the time evolution of the second-order coherence degree of the two-mode field appears due to the influence of the Kerr effect. The periods of the collapse-revival become short up to disappearance with increasing Kerr effect.
