Abstract

The emission spectra of two coupling atoms in a high Q cavity with an additional Kerr medium are investigated. The results for the initial fields in pure number states or coherent states are presented. The effects of Kerr medium on the emission spectra are analyzed. When the inject field is in a coherent state with large average photon number n , single high peak at center and two multi-peak sidebands like comb spectrum appear. The peak-number of the sidebands increases along with accretion of n . The peak-space increases along with accretion of Kerr effect. The two sidebands will leave away due to the increase of the average photon number or the Kerr effect.

Influence of Kerr effect on atom emission spectra of nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model

Gao Yun-feng

The atom emission spectra of a nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium are investigated. The emission spectrum expression is derived. The numerical results for the initial field in pure number state, coherent state and squeezed vacuum state are calculated, respectively. The influences of Kerr effect and initial field intensity on the spectrum structure are discussed. It is found that Kerr medium affects the symmetry of the spectrum structure for all initial field states except vacuum. When the initial field is pure number state, all peaks of the spectra shift toward right and the left peak(s) rise and right peaks decline along with accretion of Kerr effect. When the initial field is coherent state, two complicated multi-peak structure each like an arched comb appears for strong field. The Kerr effect makes left peaks higher and right peaks lower. When the initial field is squeezed vacuum state, only left sideband appears. The peak-number of the sideband increases due to the accretion of the Kerr effect or the initial field intensity.

Cavity Field Spectrum of Raman Interacting System between two Atoms and Coherent Field in Kerr Medium

Gao Yun-feng

The cavity field spectra of two coupling atoms interacting with coherent state of two-mode fields through Raman process in Kerr medium are studied.By solving the eigen equation, the cavity field spectrum expression is given out and some numerical results are presented. It is found that the Kerr effect and the atoms coupling both influence the spectra structures slightly in the case of weak input field. When the input fields are strong, each mode's highest peak becomes lower rapidly with appearance of the Kerr effect.Along with the accretion of Kerr effect,a multi-peak sideband appears in each mode spectrum and the spectral frequency shifts to right.

Cavity Field Spectrum of Two Atoms Interacting with Squeezed Vacuum States in Kerr Medium

Gao Yun-feng

The cavity field spectra of two coupling atoms interacting with two squeezed vacuum states of field through Raman process in Kerr medium are studied.By solving the eigen equation, the cavity field spectrum expression is given out and some numerical results are presented. It is found that both the Kerr effect and the atoms coupling influence the spectra structures slightly in the case of weak input field. When the input fields are strong, the highest peak at lift with a multi-peak right sideband spectrum like a half comb appears.Along with the accretion of Kerr effect, the peak-space of the sideband increases and the spectral frequency shifts away from the resonant frequency.A multi-peak spectrum checkered with different height appears with the stronger Kerr effect.

Cavity field spectrum of nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings modal with Kerr medium

Zhang Gui

The cavity field spectra for a nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium are investigated by means of the quantum theory. The cavity field spectrum expression is driven. The numerical results for the initial fields in pure number state, coherent state and squeezed vacuum state are presented. It is found that two-peak structures appear with the initial field in pure number state. The center of the spectrum moves toward the high frequency under the regular of χ(2n-1).And the symmetry of the spectrum is destroyed when the Kerr-effect increase.Under the situation of the coherent state field or squeezed vacuum state with weaker Kerr-effect,the cavity field spectrum presents more non-classical property. When the Kerr-effect is strong the spectrum appears multi-peak structure. The spectrum structure was affected by Kerr-effect mostly. The nonlinear property of the spectrum vanishes because the coupling of the atom and field is suppressed by strong Kerreffect.

Cavity Field Spectra of Two Coupling Atoms in a Cavity with Kerr Medium

Gao Yun-feng

The cavity field spectra of two coupling atom Jaynes-Cummings(J-C) model with Kerr-like medium were studied. The calculation results for the initial fields in pure number state and the atom in the upper level were presented.Effects of Kerr medium on the spectral structure were discussed. It is found that every peak frequency get a rise with the increase of the Kerr-effect.Four Rabi peaks appear when the field is vacuum. Two Rabi peaks become weaker until disappearing with χ/g increase. The other two peaks get the highest at χ/g≈0.7 and the peak-space increases gently. When n0,only one peak rises to the highest point, the others reduce until disappearing. The cavity field spectra become single-peak structure.

Emission spectra of a [I]-type three-level atom in a Kerr medium

张少武, Shihua Chen, 是度芳

We investigate the emission spectra of a [I]-type three-level atom interacting with a single-mode optical field in an ideal cavity filled with a Kerr medium and discuss the structure of emission spectrum when the optical field is initially in a pure number state and a coherent state, respectively. It is shown that the structure of emission spectrum depends not only on the photon number distribution, but also on the strength of incident field and the coupling of Kerr medium to the field.
