Abstract

We have discussed the system that consists of two nonidentical two-level atoms trapped simultaneously in a large-detuned single-mode cavity field in this paper. The results show that it is possible to realize a fast quantum phase gate by using two nonidentical two-level atoms, only if the cavity frequency and difference of two nonidentical atoms transition frequency are selected, and the cavity-atom interaction time is controlled appropriately. The scheme does not require the auxiliary level.

Controlled phase gates based on two nonidentical quantum dots trapped in separate cavities

Xiaoxia Wang, Jian‐Qi Zhang, Ya-Fei Yu +1 more

We propose a scheme for realizing two-qubit controlled phase gates on two nonidentical quantum dots trapped in separate cavities. In our scheme, each dot simultaneously interacts with one highly detuned cavity mode and two strong driven classical fields. During the gate operation, the quantum dots undergo no transition, while the system can acquire different phases conditional on different states of the quantum dots. With the application of the single-qubit operations, two-qubit controlled phase gates can be realized.

A SCHEME FOR REALIZATION OF TWO-QUBIT LOGIC GATES IN CAVITY QED

Bao‐Long Fang, Hong-Bo Wan, Ye Liu

We propose a simple scheme for realizing two-qubit logic gate in cavity QED. In our scheme, the quantum controlled-not gate, phase gate and swap gate can be implemented without the ancillary level. The quantum controlled-not gate and phase gate can be realized easily by only one interaction between atoms and a highly detuned cavity mode with the assistance of a strong classical field. Thus, the scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field.

Scheme for Implementing an N -Qubit Phase Gate via Selective Atom–Field Interaction with Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics

Shao Xiao-Qiang, Jin Xing-Ri, Ai‐Dong Zhu +2 more

A scheme for implementing a two-qubit phase gate with atoms sent through a high-Q optical cavity is proposed by choosing nonidentical coupling constants between the atoms and cavity. The atomic spontaneous emission can be suppressed due to the large atom-field detuning. Moreover, the scheme can be generalized to implement an N-qubit phase gate and the gating time does not change with an increase of the number of qubits.

Dynamics of one two-level-atom interacting with a multiple cavity modes

Taoufik Said, A. Chouikh, Z. Sakhi +1 more

We discuss how to implement quantum logic gates by considering a two-level-atom driven by a strong microwave field and successively interacting with m+1 cavity modes. The scheme is insensitive to the initial state of the atom, and the operation time is independent of the number of cavity modes involved in the system operations. This scheme is used to realize two quantum logic gates (m-target-qubit controlled-global-phase gate and Multi-qubit phase shift gate) in a time much shorter than the photonic lifetime. We also studied the influence of decoherence on the fidelity. In general, our system is reasonably less sensitive to the photonic and atomic decay rates and therefore it can be experimentally realized.
