Abstract

With modified effective Hamiltonian for non-degenerate Raman process,we have calculated the evolution of the fidelity of the system, the field and the atom, and investigated the influence of the ACStark shift on the evolution of the fidelity of the system, the field, the atom and the atom-field entanglement. It shows that in the presence of AC-Stark shift, the evolution period of the system, the field and the atom diminish, and the degree of atom-field entanglement is affected by the AC-Stark shift.

Evolution of the fidelity in the degenerateRaman process

Yanli Zhang

Fidelity is an important concept in quantum optics and information optics, the study on fidelity is meaningful for the development of quantum teleportation and quantum calculation. The properties of the evolution of the fidelity and fidelity amplitude for degenerate Raman process in the presence of the Stark shift were investigated by means of quantum theory, the influence of the Stark shift parameter and average photon number on the fidelity were discussed. Results show that the less the Stark shift is, which will weaken the interaction between the field and atom, and the higher the fidelities of the three systems are. On the other hand, the more the initial photons are, which strengthen the interaction between the field and atom, and the lower the fidelities of the system and atom.

Influence of AC-Stark shift on cavity field spectra in the non-degenerate Raman process

The cavity field spectrum of an atom interacting with two-mode field through non-degenerate Raman coupling with the presence of AC-Stark shift in an ideal cavity is investigated. The results for the atom in the low-level state and the initial fields in pure number states, coherent states, and squeezed vacuum states are calculated. When the initial fields are in number states, the three-peak structure of each model cavity field spectra appear for weak fields, and two-peak or single-peak structure appear for strong fields. When both field modes are in a superposition of number states initially, the cavity field spectra are generally of two-peak structure. With the increase of γ=g2/g1,one peak rises and the other peak reduces.

Influences of ac Stark shifts on coherent population trapping in the atom-field coupling system via Raman two-photon processes

Gao‐xiang Li, Jin-sheng Peng

By means of adiabatically eliminating the upper level or levels of a \ensuremath{\Lambda}-configuration atom coupling to a two-mode quantized field, we have studied the influences of ac Stark shifts on the atomic coherent population trapping in two important atom-field coupling systems via nondegenerate Raman two-photon processes. The states of the field that trap the atom in its two nondegenerate lower levels are obtained, and the important roles of ac Stark shifts and properties of the atomic upper level or levels in the states of the trapping field in two Raman-coupling systems are also analyzed.

The entanglement of atoms with two-photon transitions in the presence of ac Stark shift of energy levels

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Башкиров Е. К

In this paper, we investigated the dynamics of atomic entanglement in a quantum system consisting of two identical two-level atoms (qubits) resonantly interacting with a mode of a thermal cavity field through degenerate two-photon transitions, in the presence of a Stark energy level shift. An analytical expression is obtained for the atom entanglement (negativity) parameter for separable and entangled initial states of atoms. The influence of the Stark shift on the degree of atom-atom entanglement is considered. It is established that the Stark shift leads to a significant increase in the degree of atom entanglement in the case of separable initial states of atoms and to stabilization of atomic entanglement in the case of entangled initial states of atoms.

Fidelity evolution of quantum state for atom and field in the two-photon process

By considering the dynamic Stark shift, the effects of dynamic Stark shift of level and the squeezed light field factorsγon the fidelity of quantum state are discussed. It is shown that the evolutions of the fidelity obviously exhibit the oscillations of quantum collapse and revival.Taking the Stark shift into consideration,a comparative study of the two processes for the fidelity is presented. The fidelities of the atom, the field and the system are higher than those in the absence of the dynamic Stark shift when manipulating and communicating quantum information.Meanwhile, the periodicities of the fidelity evolutions of atom, field and the system are modulated by the intensity of the initial light field, and the impulse of the oscillation of fidelity for the field become smaller. The energy between field and atom is influenced by the squeezed light field factors.
