Influence of the Stark Effect on Transfer of Quantum Entangled Information

Abstract

Using the joint physical model consisted of many two-level atoms and single-mode light fields, the evolution of the system state voter and the numerical results of the entanglement degree for the entangled light field in the presence of Stark effect are presented. The influence of the Stark effect and intensity of the initial fields on transfer of quantum entangled information are studied. It is found that quantum entanglement information can be transferred between the cavity fields and atoms under the certain conditions in order to realize transfer of quantum entangled information. The effects of Stark shift and intensity in the initial fields on the process are obvious. The entangled degree of light field increases with intensity of the initial field increase. The collapses and revivals of entangled degree appears when the initial fields are strong. The greater the stark shift parameter is, the faster the oscillation of the entangled degree of light fields will be. This shows that the Stark effect destroys the steady properties of entangled degree of light fields.

Entanglement Transfer from Two-Mode Squeezed Vacuum State Field to Two Spatially Separated Atoms in Two-Photon Processes

Cui Hui-Ping, Zou Jian, Jian Li +1 more

We investigate the influence of the Stark shift on the entanglement transfer from the two-mode squeezed vacuum state field to two spatially separated atoms in two-photon processes. Our results show that the Stark shift plays an important role in such entanglement transfer. We find that when the Stark shift parameter r is small, the degree of entanglement between the two atoms increases with the increasing of the squeezing parameter ξ first, and after achieving its maximal value, the degree of entanglement will decrease to zero with the increasing of ξ; while for big r, E will increase with the increasing of ξ.

The entanglement of atoms with two-photon transitions in the presence of ac Stark shift of energy levels

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Башкиров Е. К

In this paper, we investigated the dynamics of atomic entanglement in a quantum system consisting of two identical two-level atoms (qubits) resonantly interacting with a mode of a thermal cavity field through degenerate two-photon transitions, in the presence of a Stark energy level shift. An analytical expression is obtained for the atom entanglement (negativity) parameter for separable and entangled initial states of atoms. The influence of the Stark shift on the degree of atom-atom entanglement is considered. It is established that the Stark shift leads to a significant increase in the degree of atom entanglement in the case of separable initial states of atoms and to stabilization of atomic entanglement in the case of entangled initial states of atoms.

Entanglement between two atoms taking into account a Stark shift

Maria O. Guslyannikova, Eugene K. Bashkirov

We considered a quantum model consisting of two effective two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode thermal cavity field through two-photon transitions. We explored the entanglement dynamics between two atoms, and studied the effect of the Stark shift on the entanglement. The results showed that for a separable initial atomic state the Stark shift enhances the amount of atom-atom entanglement induced by the thermal field. For entangled atomic state the Stark shift reduces the the atom-atom entanglement oscillations.

Control of atomic entanglement by dynamic Stark effect

Biplab Ghosh, A. S. Majumdar, N. Nayak

We study the entanglement properties of two three-level Rydberg atoms passing through a single-mode cavity. The interaction of an atom with the cavity field allows the atom to make a transition from the upper most (lower most) to the lower most (upper most) level by emission (absoprtion) of two photons via the middle level. We employ an effective Hamiltonian that describes the system with a Stark shifted two-photon atomic transition. We compute the entanglement of formation of the joint two-atom state as a function of Rabi angle $gt$. It is shown that the Stark shift can be used to enhance the magnitude of atomic entanglement over that obtained in the resonant condition for certain parameter values. We find that though the two-atom entanglement generally diminishes with the increase of the two-photon detuning and the Stark shift, it is possible to sustain the entanglement over a range of interaction times by making the detuning and the Stark shift compensate each other. Similar characteristics are obtained for a thermal state cavity field too.
